“ This might be my last opportunity “

In what context?

Kindly get a sponsor, to act as your uncle. Just to get your i20 and act up towards your visa application.

No time. God will not kill ‘our popular uncles’ for Us.

Quick Story:
One of our guy here got denied last week, within days he got a new date and went back, good news? He got approval today. Yeah; same no profile; not funded.

So, just to tell you that got a waiver; that you don’t have any excuse. There’s always opportunities when you get there, as you school already assure you.

Package yourself till you get The White Paper. This is USA path; You can do it!!!!!!!!

Good luck Champ!

This, being my last opportunity means Fall 2022 applications are closing already. I have 8 other admissions with no funding.

Thank you for the motivation. God bless you

I got there and and I was supposed to be interviewed by a man who denied me before but I used sense and went to another window even thought someone was there.
I had a sponsor. COA:$26,000

Me: Good morning ma
VO: morning (typed for like a min)
VO: why did you choose associate degree and not bachelor’s.
Me : actually I was supposed to apply to Morgan state university(na lie o) but my cousin who is was an alumni, we spoke and she adviced to start up with Harford being an international student so I won’t mess up my freshman year and also my sponsors money.
VO:okay ( kept looking at the screen) it’s your uncle that is sponsoring you.
Me: yes he works at the federal Internal Revenue Service( he sent a letter to the embassy to confirm that though.)
VO: okay, have you decided to go to Morgan state university?
Me: no I would speak to my Advisor Mrs…. And we would work together to find the best university for me.( I was already stressed cause this woman be drilling the shit out of me)
Vo:what would you study after you transfer.
Me: I would study computer science and after that I’ll be back in Nigeria to take over from my dad’s business(CAP)
Vo: what work does your dad do.
Me: he runs a computer software and tech development.
Vo: everything looks good, I will be approving your visa, make sure you travel with your i20.( on gaad I was sweating already)
Me: thank you ma.

You don’t have to scared , if you have faith and you really wants this trust me you would get it and be vigilant avoid the men guys, and for ladies not all those men VO nice it’s like they like fine girls .

Wow bro,
A big congratulations
Are you in mid 20’s, early 20’s or late 20’s??

what assistance do you need?

Hi sis, I want to ask a question regarding reference letters. Is it possible to use staffs from other universities apart from the usual profs from the school I studied. For instance, I'm currently working in a private university with the registrars office (Admissions and records). Is it possible to use my boss there as a referee?

Thanks as I await your response.

People on here keep saying it’s stupid to go for an associate’s degree but if you have a valid explanation with evidence to back it up you’ll be fine! This is another success story

Nigpatriot Ummzayd Moshkom and every other helping person
Good morning

Please i need advice

COA is 56,000 (tuition: 32, other expenses 24)
There's a 50% scholarship off tuition which is 16000

Deficit; 40,000. No sponsor, No personal funding.
The department says there's a probability of securing on campus employment or graduate assistantship after resumption.

This might be my last opportunity

Should I go for it?

By every means go for what your heart desires.

By the way, you need to get a sponsor, to cover for your deficit. If you're using personal funds. Ensure you can defend how you are able to raise above 32k dollars. And if you've not been working for more 4 years that might be an uphill task. You can find a relative whose willing to sponsor you. And you can use bank statements of him/her.

Since the school is giving you hope on assistantship upon resumption, you might not even need his/her real funds when you resume. That can serve as a back up.

But I think you stand a chance, you have a scholarship. Ensure to emphasize on this scholarship when interacting with the VO. Merit based and not need based.

All the best.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Please, I have an undergraduate CGPA of 2.4 after evaluation from WES.

I'd like to know if there is any University that would accept me into a MSc Program with a 2.4 CGPA. My interest is Business Analytics or any I.T related Course.

I'd appreciate a response from People in the house.

Thanks

Hello,

Do you have a Bsc? Was your cgpa higher before the evaluation? If it was at least around 2.6/2.7 you should be able to get admission into a master’s degree program.

Yes, I have a Bsc,
My CGPA before evaluation was actually 2.4.
Do you know of any Uni that would accept a 2.4 CGPA for direct Masters?
Thanks

Take the risk and pick a regular appointment with the intention that you'd get a date in late June or early July. That way, you'd quite be close to 6months after your last denial.
I don't know where u pipo got this your six months from, have u not read of people that got denied in Dec and went for another interview by January or February and got their visa approved?

Don’t mention.

I doubt if most master’s will accept a 2.4/5.0 scale for Msc. If you do have work experience, you can email the graduate coordinator and they may make an exception for you. It isn’t uncommon for people with low gpa and extensive work experience to get into Masters program in the US. I would also take the GRE/GMAT and apply to HBCUs if I were you .

If you don’t have work experience, you fit runs am. As long as you’ve graduated for some time. In this US waka, you have sell/hype yourself.

Get good references too. In fact, write your own reference and give to your references to upload.

Thank you for this. I have a gpa of 2.67 and I got admission in a school for Fall 2022. Although, I have been denied at the embassy once still hoping to go back after I package my story and application well.
Please, do you have a list of school that accept gpa within my range? I have exhausted all I have searched for. Thank you so much

I also have a low gpa before evaluation (2.23). The WES evaluation I did helped me push it to 2.67 so don’t use the online calculator for it, I’ll advice that you create an account with WES, follow their website, make necessary payment. Most schools will at least accept 2.7 and anything slightly away from 2.7 will be on conditional basis.

recommendation letter is usually from academic and job. So, yes! You can use your boss for the job part. For the academic part, you need someone that can testify about your academic prowess. I hope I answered your question.

Ok thanks

Thanks but this reference letter part is the biggest issue in this scholarship stuffs. Most profs here where I schooled don’t use their professional email. Can they use a normal gmail when sending these letters?

Again, thank you so much. I have some years of experience, I think I'll email the coordinators for exemption based on my years of experience. I'll update the house as things progresss.
Thank you.

Good afternoon,

I got admitted for my masters into ETSU for Spring 2022, got an expedite interview last December at Abuja but i was bounced, tried again in February and it was same. I had to deffer to Fall 2022, its like my last shot again. I've raised funds for POF and still hopeful about Visa fee but I'm kinda down. What do i do?

Was denied in Abuja twice, tho I reside in Lagos. Looking at trying Lagos.

Merit Scholarship $5000 per academic year($10,000 for 2 years)
Financial requirement $37,260

Hello,

You said you’ve been admitted already. Correct? I made a list before, but I discarded it after my Wes evaluation.

It’s quite unusual for your gpa not to increase. Mine went from 2.98 to 3.34. I think the problem is peculiar with degree holders.

Yes. You'd need the DS-160 confirmation number to complete your visa application.

Once I select the location and type in the alphabets then click start application it falls back again, making me to start afresh . Please what do I do
