Moshkom: Good day chief. please do you mean someone who isn't your biological uncle can claim to be an uncle and stand as a sponsor? for instance, can a close family friend with a different surname stand as my sponsor? |

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Profshow(m): 6:08pm On May 31, 2022 |
Floda: Yes, your uncle's surname don't necessarily have to be the same with yours (it could be from maternal side). You can provide a letter of him attesting to your relationship with him and his consent to sponsor you 1 Like |

Tinafusty: Madam calm down, do not mislead applicants. I think you didn't read up the previous quotes. Where have you read on the US Visa site that immediately after you got denied you are also eligible to put in for regular appointment and not previously refused? Those that went to the embassy in quick succession would have been lucky to see new dates through the previously rejected option even after been recently rejected which was quite normal during the pre-covid era. The moment you twist things up in this stage, the VO is obliged to reject you for this reason on your interview day. 2 Likes |

Tirinng: "Probability to get assistantship", then yes I will say you should find a sponsor and get your i-20 then proceed with your interview. You can then tell the VO, the GA wants you to be present on campus before they approve your funding. "Probability of getting on campus job", I honestly don't know how you will make $40k to pay your tuition and also go to school so I'll not advise you to bank on that. Infact, I don't think it's possible sef. Best of luck |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by UmmZayd: 8:48pm On May 31, 2022 |
Tirinng: Have you reached out to these schools concerning funding?? If not, try to ask about the requirements for funding. |
