Why The North Kicked Against Using NIN In Place Of PVC by EmperorHadrain: 7:57am On Jun 02, 2022 |
The now soon to be phased out NIN was originally planned as a universal ID system that could double as Driver's licence, travel document and ATM. Jonathan had planned to also replace the PVC with NIN but this was scrapped when Buhari came in and halted the distribution of NIN plastic IDs. Why? Because NIN cards will expose the massive rigging and real population figures of the north. It will also make it impossible for underage voting. Since you can only be issued one NIN and the system had in place software that can detect multiple registration via biometric data analysis like what applies in BVN, the north saw this new revolutionary ID system as totally against northern political agenda. Since fake inflated population figures are used by the north as a means of getting more federal allocations, sits in the NASS and to make northern rigging possible, it was then not in the interest of the north to have the NIN biometric cards replace the INEC PVCs. 1 Like |

The whole northern Nigeria populationas as at today, is not more than 20 million. Forget the British colonial beefed up figures being sustained over the years. 1 Like 1 Share |

successmatters: Very laughable. The very scarce Delta state u mean? North has much more rural population. There are too many settlements, villages, towns and Fulani settlements in the North. I wonder how can somebody sit in one place and start spreading lies from the comfort of his room. Travel widely and experience things. We already travelled to the nooks and crannies of this Nation. Population of Basic schools pupils/students in Kano is more than the population of many Nigerian states.... 1 Like |

ArewaNorth: I don't believe that. If we are to count town by town, city by city and village by village, South has more of this. If you want dispute me I challenge you to let's chose a state from the north and the South and let's list the number of the villages, town and city |
