ShowYoung: Hi, You are right that it is easier for SOWP holder to transition to PR in Canada. However, getting a SOWP for Canada is not easy and straightforward like UK. For Canada study visa, home tie is always a big factor and applying as a whole family is a risk to most Nigerian applicants. Also, many SOWP applicants wait for over a year to unite with their spouse in Canada and many still get declined. Thanks. 2 Likes |

You will most likely have to contact the school, as the admission requirements for the new course you want may be different from what you were initially offered. ANGELAREE: |

Although the email didn't have any 1 paged attachment. Just a message saying: 'Dear XXXXX, Your password protected estatement has been sent to Canada successfully. The authorization details are: Ticket No:XXXXXXXX Password: XXXX Thank you for banking with us.' What do i do now? |

Although it’s showing my enrollment number and date of enrollment but it’s still showing “ we need your fingerprint to process your application “ . My friend said she did hers and it showed passed before she got home same day. I just want to confirm if everything is okay . |

The House of Commons report of its study on IRCC is out. Happy to share that the Committee substantially accepted our recommendations to address the discriminatory treatment of study visa applications from Nigeria: 1. Removing IELTS requirement for study permit application from Nigerian 2. Expanding the Student Direct Stream (SDS) program to include Nigeria or harmonizing the financial requirement under the Nigerian Student Express with the requirement under the SDS 3. Automatic 3rd party auditing of visa offices with high visa refusal rates etc. You can read the report here: https://www.ourcommons.ca/Content/Committee/441/CIMM/Reports/RP11800727/cimmrp08/cimmrp08-e.pdf?fbclid=IwAR3QCnOaCGGYB5zjMSjPiODGphJWYRvNIRyBhLf-9zWtQQ6uqcB2ONf2e50 22 Likes |

OneLocalMan: Hi Would only be able to answer two of your questions 2) OCMT doesn't offer PGWP , in your best interest as an international student, apply for a program at a College or University that is a Designated Learning Institute (DLI) and offers PGWP (VERY IMPORTANT) 5) The contents in the links below answers your no.5 question https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/233#98887195 https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/198#98618943 Await a response from others on your other questions |

7COLOURS: All these requirements seff... it’s just few you will see on the portal oh... According to them, once you the parent had a study permit, it covers for the chat. How do you get email correspondence? When you can’t get them admission from outside of Canada or is this applicable to private schools? 1 Like |

Inyas2015: Centennial College. That's just a tuition deposit, not the full tuition. Conestoga offers 1500cad tuition deposit thou. And yes admission is not slow. Not like NBCC. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by hayoBams: 7:39pm On Jun 02, 2022 |
It's very true, No application fee You just need to pay a deposit of mostly 2650 cad when you're given an admission offer. matthew080: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by hayoBams: 7:44pm On Jun 02, 2022 |
As per the visa application fee, which are mostly of low amount, most people use barter by flutter. but for school fees which are mostly large amount, you can use form A or better still get someone in Canada who you trust to help you pay in dollars and you'll send the naira equivalent to such person. But please be very careful about this second option, make sure it's someone you can trust with your money cause there are a lot of scams. I hope this helps. Peace. aizebe: |

Good evening everyone,my application is 6months old and eligibility has started since January...around that March I got like 4 ghost updates(my application was 3months then) unfortunately doing that period,I sent alots of mail to Nairobi in which I was replied that they can’t disclose any information going on my application except I use the original email on my application..(I used agent for my application..tho he gave me my login details and every other things I needed except the email login he used)...so fast forward to today,I questioned him about my application, and the next thing he said was,I caused the delay on my application because I sent mails to them using the wrong mail and ircc knows what they are doing ..he said they delayed the visa because they have suspected agent packaged my application for me...pls my question is can this be true? Was my visa delayed because of the mails I sent with the wrong emails?? Should I withdraw and re-apply again? someone should plsss answer me |
