In 2006, I applied for UK visa (it was done on my behalf by my step brother) I was refused on the basis of funds and maybe other reasons that I am not privy to.

In my early days too (1994or 1996), An application was put up for me using my step brother as my dad which was refused because the VO was able to detect.

My worry now is that I want to apply for study visa using correct information this time around and I plan to declare my refusals.
I am not sure how to answer the question "have you ever given false information when applying for a visa, leave to enter or leave to remain"

Please I am new here, I have an conditional admission for September intake with advance payment of 3000 as part of the conditions which I am planning to pay soon. Here goes my questions;

1) what is the exchange rate to pay the advanced fee because according to the school, I can pay online.

560 is the official rate, as at yesterday but it is becoming increasingly difficult paying from Nigeria because most banks claimed they've run out of forex.

2) the other condition is my original neco result and scratch card for verification which I don't know how to go about since I left secondary school in 2007. Please how do I go about this?

Buy a NECO scratch card pin and send it alongside your original NECO certificate to the school.
Include your student ID and full name when you write the email.

3) I was previously denied a US F1 visa, please hope this won't be a problem?

No, as long as you know the reason & date.
Just state it on your travel history/refusals for visa application. Don't tell the school.

4) apart from the advance payment, please what other payment should I be prepared for. Please I need a breakdown and exchange rate.

Tuberculosis test fee :58k for adult
Immigration Health surcharge fee calculated based on your course duration $972 as at yesterday for 12months course.
Visa fee $483

5) what documents do I need for visa processing aside from CAS?

TB certificate, POF ( minimum of 28days duration, Bsc certificate & Transcript & NECO.
NYSC certificate, recommendation letter from your workplace and sworn affidavit if you have discrepancy on your certificates.
Get to know your parents DOB, your house address and confirm if you have family in the UK.

6) how do I go about the POF? Duration and amount.

Balance of your school fees + maintenance fees (£9207 outside London, £12,000 in London) x 600.
You need to have the money in your account for 28days before you can use it for visa .
Make sure you do few transactions on it before you submit it.

do I need to show the pof for deficit of school fees after deducting Advance payment and Scholarship? Can I add it with the maintenance fee to show for visa processing?
School fees= 14,850
Advance fee= 3000
Scholarship = 3000

If the school request for POF to issue CAs

Some schools like UWE Bristol give a deadline to 3rd party payment and strongly advised against it. I don't know the school you apply to, BUT I'll suggest you mail the school regarding that.

1. When having a dependent, a spouse, does the pof amount required has to be in the main applicant's bank account or the spouse has to provide a bank statement too .

2. For the TB test booking, it asked number of family and the primary applicant's details, will the spouse book separately or they'll go together on the primary applicant's date? Thank you guys.
