The societal expectation of finishing your tertiary education before marriage is not bad assuming everything is on a straight line, but unfortunately, things can never be.

This societal expectation is often not questioned because it favours men, for even if men graduate at 30, most will not even be thinking of marriage until they are 35. If at 29 to 30 a man is thinking of marriage, society will ask him, "where are you hurrying to, what do you have?"

Sadly, dating for fun comes with its consequences, like:

Abortion
Single motherhood
Heartbreaks that will make once a good girl become very bad.

You become materialistic as you focus on dating rich guys so as to stand out among your friends.
Not forgetting sin, and the fact that you are always going to God to confess the same sin.
By the time you are ready to marry, your standard will be high. Because, the higher you go, the more you thirst for men who are higher than you.
The only problem here is that you failed to understand how the average man thinks. The average man feels that the more your age, the more there will be lots of stories around your past. Men will often judge a woman by her past, just as how women will judge a man by his future.

So, the situation will often be like this:
Men who are between 35 to 40, who will be willing to marry, will most likely navigate to ladies between 21 to 28. Then, the men between 45 to 50 who might navigate towards you are probably married. This can also explain why you will often find married men asking you out and making you their side chicks.

Soon you will discover that men will prefer having just a random affair with you than to commit to you in marriage. Then, it won't take long, you will start attending singles seminars and prayers. But it has never been about prayers.

its an interesting dynamic over here,, homosexuality being legal means there's a real thriving gay subculture; but is it big enough to inconvenience women? Maybe Yes maybe No. Because gays are by far one of the most successful groups of men I think it's more a case of women being drawn to certain upwardly mobile gents only to realize they're gay.
