After 24 hours IRCC will send you a mail consisting of a biometric letter, log on to vfs and schedule a biometric appointment

Thank you for your reply. Please, can you kindly tell me the vfs website where I will book the biometrics appointment? Thank you

Good morning Olasubomy,

Please how do you determine normal processing time? I applied for the visa based on reunification with family member, the portal says I'll be communicated to within 14-30 business days; I'm on day 43.

I've mailed nairobi, accra, london, abujan new york and sent webforms to but I've only received generic responses.

Thank you

olasubomy:

I am not sure of the purpose of the visit, but this mail to you is a generic one to deter you from bombarding them with e-mails:

• If the purpose of visit is not time-bound and you can still afford to exercise some patience, you can give it a little time.
• If the application has passed standard processing times, send a reminder through a webform and not by e-mail except Abuja.
• If the application has not passed standard processing times, but travel is time-bound and urgent, send a compassionate mail/ request through a webform.
• Give it another two weeks before sending another e-mail and let the mail be periodical like thrice in a week.

It will end in praise.

Good morning Emjay, what number did you call and what process did you follow.

My partner and i have tried this+1-800-267-6788 through the Viber app but we're unable to connect to a rep because they're all busy. Typically, there should be a queue to wait on, but the call just ends on its own.

I also make this call at 12noon, which is 8am their time, so getting this feedback is weird.

Any advice please?

EmjaySimon:

My husband called IRCC about the delay of my VV application and how it has exceeded the normal processing time, they checked my details on their system and checked the country processing my application.
They told him it’s Nairobi that I should contact them directly true web form or email.

Please how do I contact them through WebForm?

My wife’s application submitted since December 2021. Her travel date supposed to be in March 2022. She has been to Canada before.

Visit (tourist) visa.

Hi Dianne,

The current processing time on the IRCC web for applications for visitor visas done from outside Canada is 120 days, while that done from inside Canada is 36 days. You can use the link below to double-check for yours:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

I can assure you that they have seen your emails. Most times, they only respond with specific feedback when there is an update on your application or a decision has been made.

Can you try to give them 17 days for your application to clock precisely two months, then you resume compassionate reminders since you are now on day 43. If your application has exceeded standard processing times, keep sending those reminders. To cite an example, you can stress the mental and emotional stress you are going through not being with your spouse for that long and the effect on your kids.

You mentioned you have tried to call IRCC. It is not easy getting those guys on phone but you can keep trying.

All the very best!

Thanks to this page. I have benefited a lot from this page and I won't keep quiet.
First, from here I got to know about joining a group on telegram to get my USA visa appointment, which I have renewed my visa last month.

Again, I applied online for my Canadian visa renewal since April 2021 and re-applied again in January 2022 after I did not hear from the embassy. Yet, there was no response. Two weeks ago, I read from this group about ordering of GCMS Notes for the first time. I quickly googled about it. It says the application must be done by a Canadian resident or citizen.

Immly, I contacted my daughter who has a Permanent Residence permit to apply on my behalf...Lo and behold, just yesterday 2nd June 2022, I got an email from Canadian embassy to submit my passport to finalize the processing of my application. Wow! This is really worth sharing.

If I wasn't following this group, I would not know anything about "ordering GCMS Notes".

I am really grateful for everyone's contributions. Keep it up guys! We move!!!

olasubomy:

1. Order for your GCMS Notes.

2. Send e-mail and webform since your application has exceeded standard processing times.

But start with the GCMS notes first so you can understand what is going on with your file.

Hello everyone, I have been living and studying in Germany for almost 3 years now. I recently got married to a German citizen about 10 months ago. My wife and I decided on visiting the Niagara falls in Canada and US for our honeymoon. So I applied to the US embassy in Berlin in March this year and was issued the visa. Moving forward, I immediately applied to the Canadian embassy online via the new portal. Also attached our joint account statement and other supporting documents.
Yesterday and today I received a message from IRCC as regards my application status.

In Summary:
Application submitted: 17.03.2022
Biometrics: 01.04.2022
BVL: 02.06.2022
Application status: 03.06.2022 -- refused based on the following reasons;

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your immigration status.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

We were actually surprised to see a rejected based on my travel history. I have traveled to more than 5 countries in Europe and I also have a valid US visa. Please I need an expert in the house to advice me on what to do next.

Hello Olasubomy,

Pls can you explain the application process of visitor visa from inside Canada.
Can application be submitted from inside Canada when the applicants are still outside Canada.
If yes, who can do this on behalf of the applicants.

Thank you

Hi Raymond,

The application process is simply the same. A temporary resident in Canada may choose to apply for his/her spouse in Nigeria as their representative. This kind of application would be deemed filed in Canada. This temporary resident can then follow up with IRCC should there be need in case of delay in application processing.

That's just the basic difference.

You need to give them the information they requested for, then normally they usually give specific time when you should contacted them or they will get back to you when they have an update from IRCC, but give them at least 10 days to respond before emailing them.

What do you mean appealing? do you want a judicial review? I won't advice you to tow that path yet. You got a generic response from the VO, you need to order for the real officers note aka GCMS so you know the precise reason(s) for your refusal.

I will advise you apply for a GCSM note. You will find out if the reason for your refusal is genuine or just some bias because you applied for the US and not Canada first or because you're not holding a german passport or wanting you to apply from your home country. I won't be surprise if basically you only need to work on your letter of intent explaining more on your residential status in Germany, Travel Itinerary on why you want to visit Niagara falls in Canada when you can view the falls in the US from the observation tower, terrapin point, whirlpool state park and so on, and you could also have the horseshoe Falls, american falls, and bridal veil falls view. I believe you just need to have your letter of intent air tight and have a detailed Itinerary from US to CA and back to Germany.

Congratulations in advance,

You can liaise with your faculty adviser or program officer to issue you a “letter of invitation” for visa purposes to invite your family. That letter would state the date you are expected to graduate and the name of the person you are inviting, and your faculty would know best. You can also draft a “confirmation of invitation letter” to attest you are inviting your family.

Additionally, what I did in my case was book an Airbnb where my parents are going to stay. The Airbnb would show the check-in, and check-out date, which should settle proof of accommodation aspect, and you note it in your confirmation of invitation letter. The good side of Airbnb is that you can cancel your reservation at a later date and get your full refund ( Make sure you monitor the refund policy) in case of processing delays from immigration.

Finally, Plan to apply on their behalf using your phone number and e-mail address as contact details, so you can follow up in case of processing delays and check the link below for additional documents you need to attach for them for a visiting visa.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/supporting-documents.html

Then select as shown on attachment as this should apply to you for the list of additional support documents you need to attach for them.

All the best!
