I get irritated when I see women on social media bragging about how self-sufficient ("independent" ) they are.

These women didn't do anything extraordinary, in fact, they didn't do anything at all. They're yelling and screaming on social platforms because they're finally able to go to work, earn a living, and cover their expenses. They want to be praised for something so simple, so basic. I'm curious as to how the rest of us have been surviving; perhaps we've been living on free food, accommodation, and so on.
