PaChukwudi44: If you help the North retain power what will be your gain as an Igbo man? You have always played spoilers to the Yorubas since 1959, where has that led your people? Did the North regard you still after all the six decade alliance? Don’t you think PDP made fool of the Igbos by giving that ticket to Atiku? Imagine Anyim did not have up to 10 votes. Are you proud of that? In the best interest of the Igbos, they should come out massively to support the Yoruba candidate in APC. They will gain very much in that alliance than supporting Atiku in PDP who don’t even respect them. If you support Atiku, anytime that presidency is coming back to the South, it will still be the Yoruba man that will get it first before the igbos. That’s because the North don’t trust you and think you are politically useless. But if you support a Yoruba candidate, we Yorubas will have no reason whatsoever not to support an Igbo man if it comes to the South because that will be the first time you Igbos are truly supporting a true Yoruba preferred candidate and we will make sure we repay the effort. Lastly, you Igbos can support Atiku, it is your right as a people if you think your interest will be protected with him. It is politics and you have your right. 14 Likes |

They're trying to form an alibi just incase Atiku wins...so that they'd say they did all they can. Why did not zone it before PDP primaries? |

So I'm here smirking in awe at how gullible and politically naive we Southerners can be. Is it that all of you have just decided to see things for how they are presented on the surface without stopping to critically reason outside the box that you've been confined to? Dear Nairalanders of Southern Nigeria: Are you all too blind to see the clearer picture that's been shaded behind the picture you're admiring? Do you need heavenly intervention before you resort to using your God given brains? Once again, the North has shown themselves to be political maestros over us all. A certain Colonel in the army gave us an insight into the game plan by the Northerners for the 2023 elections, when we met for a parley at NAF club in Kaduna. The North doesn't play party politics, they play politics of regional and religious interest. That being the case, Atiku's emergence and the subsequent withdrawal of other challengers from the north during the PDP primaries was a well orchestrated plan. First, they divided the Southern interests in the PDP, thereby neutralizing whatever solidarity that would have been in the making. Peter Obi dumped the party, automatically bequeathing his delegates to Atiku (please don't ask me how that worked, count your teeth with your tongue). Then they bought over Okowa of Delta and he helped shorten Wike's numbers. So while Wike was left to grapple with his own might and ego, they collapsed Tambuwal's delegates and support in favor of Atiku so he could emerge the flag bearer of the PDP. Even if anybody argues tomorrow that Atiku is a Northerner, PDP can proudly claim their last candidate was a Southerner, no qualms. Have you stopped to wonder why Atiku is yet to pick a running mate? Voila! He's waiting for the APC candidate to emerge from the primaries. Part 2: In order to give off the impression that the North has kept to the agreement of rotation, they willingly relinquished the APC ticket to the South, but not before funding 100million naira tickets for more than ten aspirants from stolen taxpayer's money, just to float the region with plenty candidates, cause acrimony in the process, make the aspirants and their various interest groups tear at themselves in the jostle for the ticket, that way, even if a candidate eventually emerges whether from the SouthWest or SouthSouth or SouthEast, the bile from the primaries will make it impossible for the South to vote in unison. Part 3: Enter the masterstroke! The North will throw their full weight behind Atiku without making it very obvious. Even Kwankwaso, no matter how strong and powerful he is, will succumb to the bigger picture but will still feature in the elections as a much needed distraction. Peter Obi will share in the Southern votes with whoever emerges for the APC, then Atiku's dollars will do the final job of mopping up votes of the Southern electorates that have been subjected to perpetual hunger. Oh! So you think Shettima that is trotting everywhere with Tinubu is doing it because he's loyal and loves Tinubu more than he loves his own brothers? Checkmate! Have you not noticed that almost all the strong southern candidates have at least one northern politician in their campaign trains drumming support for them everywhere they go? LMAO! And once Atiku wins, which he surely will except a miracle happens, wait for the gale of defections and see the appointments that will follow. I feel really sorry for Nigerians. 5 Likes |

Frigga13: You are the scammer here not Aketi, your pay master Atiku is going no where, come to the north here, the whole place is bereft of support for Atiku, it’s baffling that the bulk of his support base is still coming from the south, despite 7 complete years of northern rule, it’s beggars belief. He will be soundly beaten by a southerner that has no negative baggage, any time any day. Please if you are really interested in politics, I would suggest you relocate to the north so you can learn properly. 5 Likes |

Acn cpc anpp and some part of Agpa merge to form apc, so those that join last i don't think Buhari will think of them. It will have been good if okorocha emerged but I don't know what the guy did as a Governor. But he has the foresight to join the merger 1 Like |
