He really all cars with public plate numbers are exempted from going for this taste and paper oooh.

Only private plate holders are to go for it.

If you follow the news closely when it first broke out on 99.3 naija info you'll see how much ppl complained about this but the government said they exempted them because of poverty in the land that they're trying to consider the poor who will be stranded on the road due to a few of them that will pass the vigorous inspection exercise

A lawyer even sewed the FG to court begging for the road worthiness paper to be acrabbed on the ground that Nigeria road are both road Worthy, rather they're responsible for the wrecking of cars on Nigeria

Boss, please how often do you fill your shocks? The one I did no reach 3 months e don go down.

The first one I gave my mechanic to do I'm 100% sure he didn't do it because I felt same thing and complained to him the in my way home the same day.

The one I did in Tuesday I can tell the difference, so I'll have to wait to see how long it will take me.

Read inbtw my lines of experience I share here and learn from it.

Don't mind him... He's one of the hypocrite we have in this thread.

I post what I have and I give to people what I can give not what I don't have.

I shared it here when my power steering pump broke at elegushi and how my mechanic came all the way from apapa to resume me and then when my keys fell into guilter.

My question now is since when has a key that fell into water has to do with running cost?

You all know me I say it as it hot and as it is without any fear of intimation or nothing so anyone not comfortable with it should go and die.

Since I bought my car I can count the numbers of times my exhaust pipe has hit the ground,.. Readadream and others who know IB well can bare me withness... The roads we took while coming back from IB I've never seen such a road in my entire life ever b4. It is a road of no return and no turning back we where left with no other option but to go ahead. My Benz passed it like a catapiller. Ask Readadream na him self surprise na.

See anybody that wants to buy a C-class for Uber is welcome, the car is rugged, strong, parts are strong, and the performance is superb. Readadream will testify to those he's close to how offline go won kill am na... Just wait.

For client to call in the middle of the night to go pick his wife na beans?? The car will give you class, prestige and confidence not that thin call matrix
Oga feli you don dey overhype this car true true. My big daddy is 4 years now and I've not worked on the exhaust just once before. And I dey even run for offline so it's not about Benz or no Benz, it's more of making riders enjoy your ride and they will want you to drive them again. I still have one customer that drives 2019 land cruiser prado but calls me to come and use my lowly big daddy to come and carry him anytime he doesn't feel like driving. Just ogba to mm2 he gives me btw 7k and 10k, the day he's broke it's 5k.
By the way shey you come akowonjo today, I see one C200 purple color I think, I rolled down my window the guy just dey look me but as I no see dread I say no be felicity grin I just meuved

It's just a seal na I've seen them do it b4.

That's why I like Dmechy he told us this truth some times last year.

Most toks shocks have been worked on.

Original shocks are expensive, from 50k above for just 1

Original toks shocks can only been seen during offloading of containers...

Most of those they bring out from shops are either refurbished, budgeted or worked on b4 just a few are toks some are even new China made they dirty with grease, oil and sand to look like it's toks.

My own I gas up on Tuesday now guy I dey use am jump speed bombs I just dey happygrin but I no go try am again o make e last for me small abeggrin

How much to gas up and location, , my own shock d make noise like say man and woman d get inter course

Thanks boss you get mouth.

Felicity001:

Bolt inspection is different from car doc inspection off course your bolt will still work Reas n they reduced it to every 4 months they won't pass you for inspection if a paper has less than a month inspection instead they'll ask you to go for renewal.

Uber will keep sending you a mail both on the app and via mail that your document has so so and so period of validity and if you don't attend to it they'll block you then ask you to contact support. But trust black man na, you wanna hide an information from them? Put it in writing

I think 9ja used car that still has good chassis/frame and uncompromised electrical components is better than tokunbo. Just remove all the worn out parts and replace with OEM and you'll have your tokunbo standard at a cheaper rate

Na engine be motor, just make sure when you're buying gear is fine cos I rather have engine wahala than gear. If one can get a sound engine that you can vouch for the following:

1. Cylinder walls (no cracks)
2. Pistons & rings
3. Valves well adjusted
4. Good compression within the
cylinders.
5. Oil seal(s)

Even better, change gasket with oem before installing...this change is easier when done outside the engine bay.

I no see radauto.works jealous, I no see pearl jealous its you who until last year was dependent on dru for your daily bread I'll be jealous of because of a vehicle you entered numerous debts to buy. See ehn, you are very inconsequential to me.

I'm concerned about people who will be swayed into putting the vehicle on rentals since going by your admission, the vehicle has left you stranded on the road twice. Your mechanic is your very good friend and you pamper him. If you were not married already, he would have been your best man on your wedding day.

Also by your own admission, you told us you've spent over 100k on it the last one month. With your own mouth you told us how your key fell inside water and could no longer start the vehicle, how your AC almost killed you that you had to bastardize the car and put a manual compressor. You revamped suspension in February and you're revamping it again 3 months afterwards.

You said all these with your mouth. What other evidence does anyone need that the vehicle is a wrong tool for the job?

Call me the little angel who is advising people to open their eyes before they enter the same pit you've just dug for yourself. If thats jealousy to you then so be it.

Well, since he drives it himself I really don't think it's a bad choice, the only thing I see here is that Feli was very unlucky with the particular one he bought which happens and can happen to anybody. One thing about German engineering you will admire is that they don't compromise. Need I mention, even if you put this car on rentals and you are lucky to find a trust worthy driver (which is possible), he will still maintain the car as well as you the owner. I won't completely write off that car yet because of what Felicity is going through, however, based on his experience he ought not to have ventured for a converted car.

I bought, parked at home for a month and after 1 month was when I found out. I didn't do due diligence b4 buying, my bad. Even at that the car performs well my brother... Especially after I took it for a proper conversation because what the dealer did at ladipo was bad job.

Oil leaks are normal with cars my brother instead of resulting to Palm oil and regular topping I decided to tackle the problem so how is that a problem. Crankshaft seal and turbo seal where bad and they were changed. And I changed my thermostat as well.

I'm this kind of person that love cars a lot so I don't play with maintenance at all.

I will recommend the car to anybody for both private and personal business purposes, never a time have I asked anybody to buy and out it on rental so I don't know where that goat got that from that people should buy for rental purposes. Even if self no be motor?

I priced both my engine and gearbox last week. Both cost 300k

Complete Engine alone - 150k
Borale- 80-100k

Gear- 70k

These are asking price ooh

I bought my car far less than 2m then... Current value is btw 2m to 2.7m toks.

Business is wisdom,
How much does a Corolla cost currently, clean title ooh
How much is the engine, gear and all that?

The compressor in my car currently was bought 10k, condenser 8k, evaporator 14k I think... I changed completed door with glass and everything for 10k.
How much do you think all these cost for a Corolla?

When Dru was talking about finding a competitive advantage and thinking outside the box what do you guys think he meant.

The civic is good but I wanted sth elegant, prestigious and speedy... Volvo S40 and the C-Class was the only cheaper option at that time and currently.

It's even more expensive to acquire a Civic now than a C-Class yet the C-Class will out perform them both and its cheap to maintain... Mechanics are there... Ojuelegba, ladipo and Trinity then some pole of them are spread all over the place.

Talk of fuel consumption, my engine is a 1.8L 42mpg, how much is a Corolla? How much is the Civic?

Car no be maintenance? Don't maintain your car and see weather e no go spoil.

Is it not normal for belt to cut? Watin dey there? And one jobless goat went digging claiming nonsense.

When my key fell into gulter water the car slept in the road for 6days... Pin no lost, try that with a Corolla or a civic let's see.

When I talk people take it for granted without reading to understand what I'm trying to point out.

The world don't like honest people reason why we are where we are as a nation.

You just heard it from the man himself. Key fell inside water and he lost 6 days in earnings. At a conservative net of 10k per day, the average corolla or matrix driver whose key fell into the same water would have earned 60k while our jalopy benz owner is still somewhere begging his rewire with 30k to come and fix it.

I also think I need to make something clear

Someone here bought a Volvo the other the other time, If anything has changed from the last time he gave a breakdown of maintenance I'm not sure but from what he told us and what he has spent on the car you can see its decent enough for the job.

I'm not against anyone buying what they can afford.

What I'm against is you coming here to mislead people into buying just because of the peanuts you want to make from commission when you help them source.

To further prove my point, if your car is reliable and you're sure it's reliable, why are you bothered if someone says it's not? Why does it cause you so much pain since Saturday?

If someone says my car is not reliable, I'll simply ignore and leave you to your folly because I know it is.

Obviously, it's because he knows he's not painting the true picture and the peanut he won't be getting from helping people buy. cheesy
