PaChukwudi44: Buhari's candidate would win 60% of the North while Atiku and Kwankwaso would share the rest. If APC presents Osinbajo, the Christians in the South would vote massively for him and that I think is the calculation on the table. The South West would still vote for him as their son despite the fact that "Baba so pe" wasn't given the ticket. APC is interested in retaining power and fielding their best that they can control. Buhari and his Northern cabals would not want to be under an Atiku, it doesn't make any political sense. 1 Like 2 Shares |

sogodihno: ....and SW will get the presidency with their votes alone? Kwankwaso's influence is limited to Kano state. Depending on who Atiku's running mate will be, he may do well in SS and some areas of SE. It is going to be a close race, difficult to call. |

tonididdy:... thank God there are people who can still think and are free from the APC/PDP otumopo spell. Any careful observer can see that everything northerners are doing both in the PDP and APC is to sneak another northerner Atiku into Aso rock after Buhari's 8 years disaster/satanic agenda while the Southerners blinded by dollar and personal gains keep fighting themselves. This kumbaya statement from the northern governors is part of the charade to fool the southerners, they are ready to implode or degrade APC to make way for Atiku. Whoever APC chose will have a disunited party or nearly collapsed party behind him. It might even be Tinubu out of anger and sense of entitlement that might leave the party -how ironic if he scatters what he co-founded. IF for any reason the election is close they will use INEC to rig Atiku in -extremely brilliant from the pit of hell !!! 3 Likes |

naptu2: Atiku must be jittery with this unity in APC. Atiku knew it must be divisive to have another northern Nigerian to succeed President Buhari. Yet he insuted the psyches of his PDP members from the south when he bought PDP ticket, notwithstanding the fact that he had been a serial destroyer of PDP with his abandoning and returning to the party at any turn 1 Like |

Stupid southern governors. So you can fall for this "scoping" by these northerners? They all know that Atiku is the next president. All they need is a southern APC candidate that is less popular than Atiku. |

LegendHero:stop writing rubbish grammar. How can the South be a minority in the first place?? The fulanis are actually a minority. The yorubas are majority 50m people and the Igbos too 50 m people. The minorities in the South are from the niher Delta. The minorities in the north are the fulanis ansmd so many other small tribes all over like the jukuns Tiv Fulani |

Does South West as a region remember they HV had 16 years as President, Vice President and Speaker.? Is Southwest just okay with a ticket even though whoever their candidate is, won't beat Atiku? For National Integration and unity, Any APC Presidential Bearer should come from SouthEast, NorthEast or NorthCentral that are yet to produce a president. If the APC's bearer should come from South South, Southwest or NorthWest, Peter Obi or Atiku would win.... Make una note this today! |

Foreigna2: Very politically-unintelligent bunch of people divided against themselves. This had been a great time and opportunity for an Igbo president, but they've been busy throwing hate and causing violence in their ow towns. Now everyone's beginning to associate the word IPOB with violence. 4 Likes |

I weep for southerners. See them rejoicing as if they received a great gift from the northerners. So you guys can't play the same political game with unity to bring your desired candidate? You have to whinge and later celebrate when the northern governors agree to zoning? What a pity. I hope this election teaches you guys a lesson. Adopt the political cunning of Tinunu, the doggedness of Wike, and the heart of Peter Obi. Don't forget to be as persuasive as Atiku, too. Stand together for what you want. Don't collect political gifts such as these. They make you guys look weak and nearly stupid. By 2023 the northern governors can claim to have "gifted" the presidency to the south and no one will dispute them. 1 Like |

sogodihno: You're a learner. The north was waiting for the outcome of pdp primaries. If pdp had given it to a southerner....APC would have fielded Gej(a 4 year term) then power goes back north. Pdp is fielding a northerner so the north has quickly / unilaterally agreed not to divide their votes for a northern candidate. You people are so stupid, you have no idea how politically intelligent the north is. It amazes me when I see yoruba clowns dreaming they will win a single vote up north talkless of winning presidency. The east and ss / mb will not vote west. They will divide their votes between either atiku obi or kwankaso.... AS USUAL THE SO CALLED SOURHERN UNITY HAS BEEN DESTROYED. THIS WAS WHAT THE NORTH WAS AFRAID OF.... A WEST AND EASTERN ALLIANCE. These two ethnicities.... never agree... and i personally think the west has more hate cos the east has in the past massively supported western canfidates eg mko and obasanjo.... the west has never supported any eastern cause.. even during the civil war ... it was the same backstabbing. ... Atiku is the next president as we see it. The west as usual has once more given another fulani power by their selfish greed. They're the Trojan horse in the south. 2 Likes |

Very soon the election period will over and our complains will then triple. We have the opportunity to choose a good leader at the moment but as usual we are more concerned about tribes and ethnicity. For your information ,Hunger, joblessness and insecurity does not know or respect tribes or ethnicity. Very unfortunate! |

I mean, this is a bitter lesson for the south to learn. Can anyone mention any northern aspirant that came out to disparage other northern aspirants in the same party? Can you find any APC aspirant that said if no northerner wins, then the ticket should be given to the south east or south west? No. The northern aspirants protect their interests even when standing for the same position. But out mumu southern governors and leaders dey misyarn. I'm so angry at them. The way they're rejoicing now makes it look like the north is gifting the south the presidency. It makes the south look weak! 1 Like |
