The whole game looks dicey now. If Tinubu wins, how will he campaign in the north giving his recent outburst against the northerners and it's quite clear that the east don't really like him. The primary may favour Tinubu but the real election will favour Osinbajo because he's love by all. If fayemi steps down for him and canvass more support fir him from his colleagues, the primary might favour Osinbajo. Yoruba needs to tread with caution otherwise they may loose this golden opportunity.


Tinubu outburst Make the north love him more, Buhari initially wanted to pick a candidate, his outburst is part of what stopped him.

Who ask dead brain like you who is with the advantage. You think others will step down for him cos of his advantage or he should seek how to gain their support. If one start telling how senseless your comment is now you go start to wail. The remaining 2 support the person Osibanjo is that not a plus to his sagacity or is this crucial time the right time to be brandishing any bravado. That is aside the fact that there is not a single thing Osibanjo as an edge over Tinubu not a single one not even age cos wisdom comes with age aside Tinubu as eveey other in surplus compare to him.

What cognitive experience?
Only one man among them has the requisite experience to lead APC to victory. The others are just forming for now….they know who their Leader is and they will be prevailed upon to do the right thing so that the South West base is not divided or thrown into turmoil as happened at the time of Awolowo/Akintola face off. Osinbajo (the Commissioner) will eventually bow to his boss!

Igbos don't know how to play politics at all. I wonder how all their politicians that have stepped down for Lawan will be feeling now.

Their only strategies since 1960s have always been how to scheme Yorubas out of the arrangement and later come around to call Yorubas their "southern brothers" when their miscalculations backfire against them and favour the SW instead. It has always been hate, hate and more hate.

Igbos are ready for any political subjugation and mistreatment from the North so far it doesn't not represent the SW interest. It is really shameful.

Thank you!! All this small minded people on Nairaland don't even understand how elections work. Mark my word, the north will only vote for a northerner. It has always been like that. For a southern man to win, he needs to utilize the south's vote. Obj and GEJ were able to win by fortifying southern votes.

Obj was able to maintain control by fortifying the south and enabling them to rig more than the North. All this talks of Igbos don't have number barely started recently, during objs time, he used huge votes from Igbo land /SS to stay ahead of the north.

Even if Tinubu finally emerges, he can never win without fortifying southern votes. And if he wants a second term, he must unite the south to beat the northern riggings.

Go back to old results and see how it all played out.
Thank God you know all this and never know what is going to happen.

Which North voted Jonathan against Buhari? Do you know history at all? It was the 12 million Northern votes Buhari got against Jonathan in 2011 election that propelled the greediness in Tinubu of going to meet him for CPC/ACN merger for the second time so that Buhari win in 2015 and hand over to him in 2023, irrespective of whether Buhari will scatter the country or not, just come and hand over to me after your tenure
