Please I need advice, I am currently preparing my documents to enter the pool, my husband is already in the pool we think it's better I become the PA becos of my age and I have a master's degree, but I have questions regarding my work experience, I was in teaching for about 3yrs during and after my service before I got my current job which I'm just 4months into, I can get a reference letter from my previous school but I'm worried because it's not a very big school and I'm not sure if they have a website or online presence, but with my current job I have no worries, please what how best can I go about this. |

Feliwalt12: As long as your reference is in IRCC format, minimum of one year continuous experience and it’s verifiable, no need to worry about online presence and website. |

Has anyone sent to Egypt vfs recently? I sent my package 2 weeks ago and it was received last week Sunday. Counterfoil generated and passport resent to the VAC within 3 days. But what I’m hearing now is that DHL is unable to pick items from vfs Cairo because they require a customs obligation form that vfs is refusing to provide. Is anyone having the same problem? |

Afolavid: Hi everyone, long time no see It's been a very exhausting period for me (in the past few weeks), still ensured reading the accumulated posts on the thread without missing a page though. Just a quick update! I got my PPR on the 16th of May 2022, sent & already got my stamped passport back, booked my flight, preparing and leaving in less than a month, though I followed the study route as I was intentional about leaving this year. My PPR gist is here, for anyone who wanna read - https://www.nairaland.com/6957495/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/544#113041859 So I'm still actively pursuing PR via EE (firing from all angles )... I dropped a post sometimes ago about a program I'll be doing, that made people air their contrasting opinions here, well, I went ahead and the evaluation is out, WES evaluated positively (2 or more certs) [Got a few PMs back then and promised I'll update on here when the evaluation comes out... Done!] I took the study route because there was no clear sign that the FSW draws would resume back then. I'm glad I did sha, but now that the draws are coming back, it's safe to work and plan towards it.. Dual intent is allowed Since the draws will resume in July, I'm planning to rewrite IELTS with the intention of acing it but here is the issue I'm having - 1. I have just about 3 weeks to prepare and write again if I want to write it here before leaving. Will this time frame be enough, considering traveling preparations and other stuffs? 2. I can as well write it in Canada, I'd have enough time to prepare, though the FSW draws would have started by then (which means I might miss out on ITA if IRCC do a surprise mega draw) and then, it's more expensive in Canada. Also, I'm concerned the examiners will most likely be whites, which might mean a tougher test condition [especially for speaking]. Any idea? 3. Reading this thread this morning, I saw someone talked about doing CELPIP, heard the test can now be taken in Nigeria. Do I stick to IELTS after deciding when/where to do it or go for CELPIP.? Advise needed please! Quite confused Thanks 7 Likes 1 Share

Hello everyone, I just remembered I did WES evaluation last year but for a US school. My LLb was evaluated as bachelors degree but my law school was evaluated as a one year professional degree. I just messaged them to see if I can transfer to Canada. I would like to ask can I eventually combine the two as 2 degrees? Or I should just start all over with IQAS? Thank you. |

Anavamii:if you have the money, why not just evaluate the LLB like I earlier advised and save yourself stress? |

use IQAS, their evaluation is more favourable (masters/professional degree)meaning more points. Anavamii: |

Good afternoon everyone. Please I did my IELTS on December 5th, 2020; Band 8. Result came out on December 18th, 2020 and I know it should expire December 2022 but I got into the pool since January 2022. Please I will like to ask if getting into the pool stops IELTS time from running or it is still bound to expire December 2022, not minding that I’m already in the pool. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Dimple10: 1:57pm On Jun 06, 2022 |
your answer is definitely on page 1. look under *EDUCATIONAL CREDENTIAL ASSESSMENT (ECA): read HERE. Designated Organisations: are listed HERE. Cesclxg: |

IELTS must be valid as at submission. So until you get AOR, your IELTS must be valid. My advise, wait till like 3months to expiry and redo if you've not gotten ITA or submitted Omoniyimi12345: 2 Likes |

Cesclxg:there is a section about ECA on page 1. Why not read it You can visit the websites of each of them to compare prices and processing times. Also consider if your degree has designated eca bodies or favourable ones. |

Feliwalt12:search the name of the school online, it might be an issue if they have no online presence and you are paid by cash Someone in my group got ADR to mention the number of employees in the company |

PPR & CoPPR My timeline: Finished TCF & IELTS earlier in the year (2021) WES ECA Apr 2021. My CRS was about 519 so I changed the order of the languages to lower my score. Ontario EOI French stream: May 2021. Confirmation of nomination : June 2021 ITA & ePRA July 2022. AoR came same day application was submitted. Biometrics: November 2021 April 2022: medical request. Done on 20 April. Passed on 01 May. VO: Sydney RFV (ready for visa) mail: 09 May 2022. Passport sent: 12 May. Passport received: 06 June. (I don't live in Nigeria so wise not to use this stamping turnaround time as reference). 1 thing I observed is that we do worry ourselves needlessly. 1- The day I went to do my ID photographs, the first studio I entered printed 2 really good quality pictures. But there were 2 lines running across my forehead. The photographer said its rolling film whatever and claimed that even if he took another shot the lines would still be there. I paid and went into another studio. The picture quality here was sub-par but there were no lines I added both sets of photos to my package giving IRCC the honour to choose. Guess what? They preferred the picture with the lines. They did return the other set to me, hidden inside the passport. 2- After I'd sent my passport, I was expecting a notification about counterfoil generation. That's what I have been reading in the CoPR stories. Instead I got a mail from VFS stating "The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No....... has been received from the IRCC Office on Thu Jun 02 2022 and will be dispatched to the Canada Visa Application Centre where you applied or at the courier address provided by you at the time of submission of your application". I became restless. Does this mean that my application was rejected and so no visa generated for me? I went to Google to search for people who got RFV mail and sent their passport but visa was denied them. Of course, I found nothing. 3- When my RFV mail came in, my application status in my profile was showing only medicals as passed. All other assessment elements were still "We are reviewing..." When the notification of passport leaving IRCC for VFS came only medicals was still showing as passed ( this contributed to the panic). As I am typing this, even though I've seen the visa on my passport, my status remains "We are reviewing..." By the way, my CoPR is valid till 01May 2023 - exactly1year after the medicals passed date not the date I did the medicals nor the date the centre sent my results. 18 Likes |

BFWestAfrican:After getting your PPR, you can now say "we do worry ourselves needlessly". Maybe if you had said it before actually getting your PPR, maybe we would have taken you more seriously. I have always been of the opinion that people here will kill themselves with worry before the PPR comes out, but apparently most people only realize it after the fact. Stop worrying!
