I don't like Nonsense Peter Obi ,Osinbajo Atiku &Tinubu are only presidents on the social media They will never occupy Aso Rock . Buhari will Hand over to his Fulani Brother and it will not Be Atiku . ideally the presidency should go to the south east but the cabal in Aso Rock won't allow this . |

NaughtyBrainiac: YOUR A DUNCE, BECAUSE U ASSUME THE NORTH CARE ABOUT APC AND PDP. ALL THE NORTH CARE ABOUT IS POWER. APC WAS JUST A VEHICLE FOR BUHARI TO CLAIM POWER FROM THE SOUTH AND PDP IS THE SECOND VEHICLE THAT WILL BE USED TO RETAIN POWER FROM THE SOUTH. TWO CARS BUT ONCE DESTINATION.(ASO ROCK) THEY WILL NEVER MISS A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO CONSOLIDATE ON THIS OPPORTUNITY BUHARI HAS OFFERED THEM. OPPORTUNITY COMES BUT ONCE AND IN NIGERIA OF TODAY, IF THEY MISS IT THEN THEY WONT SEE IT LIKE THIS AGAIN AND WILL REGRET. EVEN IF THEY HAND TINUBU APC TICKET, THEY WILL VOTE PDP ATIKU, WHO IS A FULANI, A MUSLIM AND A NORTHERNER. SOKOTO THE SEAT OF FULANI POWER IS ALREADY PDP. THAT IS THE HOME STATE OF THE SULTAN. PDP ACTUALLY DONT WANT APC TO FIELD A NORTHERN CANDIDATE. |

kingyakos: THERE IS NOTHING LIKE SOUTHERN LEADERS, THE SOUTH IS NOT A REGION, UNLESS YOU ARE TALKING OF THE SS AND SE. THE REASON YORUBA WILL ALWAYS SABOTAGE IGBOS IS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT PART OF THE SOUTH. YORUBA ARE WEST AND FROM BENIN REPUBLIC, THEY ONLY JOINED NIGERIA AFTER THEIR LAND WAS SOLD TO THE BRITISH BY THE KING IN BENIN. YORUBA WERE THE LAST TO JOIN NIGERIA. HERE IS THE ORIGINAL MAP OF NIGERIA, DRAWN BY THE BRITISH.

Why this hatred and bitterness from south east towards Tinubu and south west , if Senator Orji uzor Kalu drop his ambition and merge with south east candidate likewise other aspirants from south east support just one of them with one voice he would have better than this show of shame |

The Treaty of Cession, 6 August 1861 or the Lagos Treaty of Cession was a treaty between the British Empire and Oba Dosunmu of Lagos (spelt 'Docemo' in English documents) wherein Dosunmu, under the threat of military bombardment, ceded Lagos Island to Britain WE NEED TO START TEACHING OURSELVES HISTORY, TO BETTER UNDERSTAND WHY CERTAIN THINGS WILL KEEP HAPPENING. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagos_Colony https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagos_Treaty_of_Cession

Analytically, I have continued to wonder why APC as a party seem to want to weaken one of its own major base out of fear of a particular candidate. If they succeed, they may also weaken their own party in the process. I suspect the APC governors know this. However, politics is more than mere analysis by outsiders, hence we watch for things to unfold fully so as to determine what strategy worked best for who. |

History has it that Awolowo, the leader of the Yorubas, offered a political alliance for Nnamdi Azikiwe to become the number 1 citizen, but Azikiwe chose a northern alliance instead becoming the number 2 as a ceremonial president. Kwame Nkruma of Ghana was so disturbed that he asked Azikiwe why he threw away all the legacy for a modern society with his choice of alliance. Earlier, Azikiwe had even prevented a referendum clause from being included in the constitution. Today, his people (Igbos) need that clause the most even if they didn’t see the need for it earlier. Now tell us who first betrayed the southern unity, and much more if there really was one. Some have even argued that the only reason why Igbos are today spoiling for a showdown over the presidency is because the Yorubas appear to have paved the way through the APC alliance for the return of power to the Southwest having worked tenaciously for it. That Igbos can’t bear to have the Yorubas clinch the presidency with their own preferred candidate, hence the spoiler position of if we can’t have it, then Yorubas shouldn’t have it their way, which is valid in politics. Take Peter Obi and others contesting from the southeast for instance, nobody is begrudging them for contesting for presidency, just like Ekwueme contested against obasanjo (during PDP primaries), who was not even a Yoruba candidate but was supported to win, obviously not in the interest or support of the Yorubas. For Jonathan, the Yorubas were his biggest supporters, without any pre-arranged alliance or conditions, which saw him emerge. Jonathan at the time was given conditions to fulfil by Ohaneze before getting their support then. Not so from the Southwest, who are known to demonstrate a high level of social justice, even today, Afenifere has thrown its weight behind an Igbo presidency this time around but that is obviously not enough gesture from the Yorubas. For emphasis, Orji Kalu has openly supported the north instead of backing his own people who have remained in the race. I have seen a good number of Igbos hailing him for this. The southeast PDP governors backed Atiku to emerge presidential candidate for PDP. Are they not Igbos? Why excuse your leaders but try to hold other tribes’ leaders accountable, especially for your own interests? So I ask the question respectfully, who has betrayed the south more? THERE IS NOTHING LIKE SOUTHERN LEADERS, THE SOUTH IS NOT A REGION, UNLESS YOU ARE TALKING OF THE SS AND SE. hammer567: |
