New cohort check your planning on intranet to know how projects will be sent to you daily.

And I was right, projects are sent by 6:16am. For the rest of the thread, I will dedicate to explain the projects, problems and solutions.

Good morning

I finished today's project and went ahead to do the projects meant to be sent for tomorrow.

Listen guys, if you have spare time, check your dashboard, go to "planning", in there you will see the projects that were sent to you today and the ones that will be sent to you tomorrow.

I already did tomorrow's project and currently learning the projects for next tomorrow (9th). That way, I'm on track and won't be caught by surprise.

From the pictures I sent, the first picture shows the projects sent today and the one for tomorrow.

The second picture is the checker that will check your code to ensure you did the project like you were told. It scores your project.

The third picture was after I was done with my shell project. That green marks shows I have done the project that it was scored. Always ensure your project is scored before moving to the next.

Good Morning guys
I try as much as possible to post infos I feel would benefit anyone into making a decision as to whether to go for the program or not!

I'm about to post pictures of specialization after the first 9months. It was actually on my dashboard but I noticed it today!

After the first 9months of foundation, the remaining three months is to pick your specialization between frontend and backend. Below is what you will be taught based on your pick.

Even though I posted what specialization would look like between frontend and backend

Here's the breakdown of what we are currently learning for the next 9months. It is actually hilarious because we're still in git, emacs, and shell. Meaning we haven't started.

I'm glad cause these days I do my project ahead of the D-Day and get to study more.

Also, emacs and vim are text editors.
Will you be required to install them on your system?

The system of teaching is great for me
It's not my thing.
Udemy is better.

Can you compare the two of them?

In my opinion, ALX is harder

It seriously hasn't been easy.
I finished my projects on Git with my working laptop, though I didn't do it on the sandbox, I did it with git bash and linked it to my GitHub only to realize I wasn't scored!! I had to redo it all over again using the sandbox.

From the picture below was how I realized that I wasn't scored that day.

Next time when you're using gitbash.
Ssh your sandbox into the gitbash.
That would give you access to your sandbox whilst you're in the gitbash terminal and you can clone your repository there and work on your project.
Well it's nice seeing your perseverance Sha.
I'm in cohort 6, we started since March 14.
We're like 20k+ when we started, but currently we're 2k+ or so.

So Goodluck

Yeah
Emacs and vi are editors we're suppose to learn because we will be using them while coding.
For Linux, we're currently learning she'll.

. Please use this opportunity to learn emacs, shell, vi, git and GitHub.
A lot of newbies are already dropping out and complaining because projects are coming in fast and it seem there's not enough time to learn.

To put it simple, I will say my experience so far has been Amazing

I took the advantage of my previous experience and learnt ahead. I usually do the projects to be sent tomorrow, today! That way, I'm one step ahead of everyone and I keep learning.

Whenever I'm free, I help others on their projects and I enjoy it because that way, all the things I learnt stick and I don't forget them. I have made a lot of friends from helping others.

Also created a private group where our motto is *"SURVIVE THE FIRST MONTH"*

Because it will be VERY challenging! A lot of people are already dropping. I don't know when I became a motivational speaker but I keep talking to others not to quit while we do the projects together.

In the private group now, we're currently 5 people, the fewer, the better. That way I can pay attention to everyone and no one is left behind but the limit I can accept into the group are 12. So...still searching for the right ones.

If you're going for ALX and want to pass, you will need your peers to guide you on the right path. And I have the right people with me.

It's not a problem.
Drop your email address.

Plus we're currently building our own shell terminal.
It's a 13days project and we started since last week Friday.

I would like to add you to that private group. Perhaps, we can learn from your experience. But have you guys been at it for up to a month?
Since it is required that one has to score 80% for the first month.
