Something funny is happening in Bayelsa and Delta and it ain't Obi. It's their Governors preparing to "deliver"

Are you sure Bayelsa is not a database error? 540K registration. What is the total population of Bayelsa

When Goodluck Jonathan the son of Bayelsa was contesting total Bayelsa vote was 367K. 2019 Governorship total votes 500K

Now they have 540K registration

Na why I say these new registrations are not Obi stans. His heartlands are not even driving the uptick in PVC collection, they are lagging behind seriously. Bayelsa and Delta are leveraging. The more PVCs, the more bargaining power.

It doesn't matter if PVC card reader is there, they write ballots in rural areas. As long as the number of voters doesn't exceed the number of PVC holders for the State or locality, they are good to go. AkwaIbom delivered over 1m votes in 2015 for only 1.2m PVC holders, almost all to Goodluck and completely at odds with the average turnout. That was Akpabio stepping up for GEJ. Any wise Governor will be ramping up PVC collection in his state now because that's the maximum he can deliver. Nigeria is a plutocracy. The Governors determine the President.

Labour Party that has no ties with nlc, nurtw or workers in general. Las Las it was a contraption put together for when parties actually got money for just being parties. This actually happened back then. I knew a lawyer that created a party solely do they could chop that inec money.

At bolded is not correct. They do.

Did the Yorubas not also have a split vote between PDP and APC?

Is fayose and the likes part of the tinubu machinery?
I believe you know what I'm on about Don. With respect to grading how divided a region is, the Ibos (SE) tops the list.

So why are they not utilising them? In lagos nurtw was essentially an extension of apc before all this disengagement

I worked in a company with a labor union. They had 0 ties with labour party.

When nlc and trade unions are calling for strike, labour party is no where to be found. All these are opportunities to be part of the national consciousness.

Oshiomole used Labour well, but once he left that was the end of the party.

he will likely get more than double of what obi is going to get self.

But I have this belief that kwankwanso will step down for highest bidder between atiku or tinubu before the election. Unless they both feel they can win without his help.

I think the man is just trying to use his huge followership in kano as leverage to negotiate juicy deals for himself from the two top parties.

Labour party primary vs NNPP primary

I noticed that the wrong registration data has been shared on this thread. What you have in previous pages is the number of persons that have completed the online pre-registration process on the INEC CVR portal.

INEC disclosed that while a total of 10.2million fresh applications were received, only 6.5 million applicants completed their registration, out of which the youths accounted for 4.5 million.

https://nairametrics.com/2022/05/31/inec-says-4-5-million-youths-have-completed-online-voter-registration-in-may-2022/

Okay, now this makes a lot of sense.

Let me remind people once again that only 15% of the population voted last election.

That number is on course to be doubled.
Nigerians please don't let naysayers deter you from participating in the forthcoming elections.

Don't align with people who take joy in seeing the continuous rubbishing of our already corrupt and decrepit politics.

We can change things. We have the numbers to change things. We just need to realize that. We need to realize the power of the PVC.

Please get your PVC before the window closes.

TT served or our lack of inventive players?

How many of our players can create 3-4 clear on goal chances in a game?

There’s a reason I need Dembele and Gnabry.

His participation in the presidential election next year is still up in the air considering the party he joined is locked in a legal battle over the real head of their party. I have a sneaky feeling that a few months to the election he will stylishly back out and urge his 'supporters' to back Atiku.

Anyway it's a free world let them support their candidate.

donstan18:
100% of Okwute’s miscreants.

40% don’t have PVC

Out of the remaining 60% with PVC, 30% will be online tweeting and posting on Twitter, WhatsApp, Anambra Facebook group, 2go groups and Nairaland.

Our of the remaining 30%, 20% who wanna vote will be stucked between collecting free 7k to vote for Atiku or 5k to vote for Tinubu, they’ll choose either of both and then the remaining 10% will vote for Okwute.

This will be the reality of Okwute’s miscreants.

About the issue of PVC: Yes, I've one.

I'd love to support Peter Obi because he looks brilliant and is an Ibo. But until he explains how he will tackle these problems, I am not his strong supporter.

I watched the video, and he mostly talked about the generic promises the typical Nigerian politicians make when vying for posts.

The main issue is the how. Do you have another video or article explaining how he plans to take Nigeria out of the doldrums?

Then, I feel he should have started his campaign one or two years ago. He doesn't look well prepared in my opinion, doesn't look like a strong contender for the post, unlike Tinubu and Atiku.

If things continue this way, I won't vote again like the past years. I won't contribute to bringing an ailing politician to become Nigeria's president.

Tinubu's ill health is a recipe for disaster if he wins the major elections billed for next year.

Unless something unusual or unexpected happens in the APC or concerning Tinubu's health, I think he will win at polls next year.

Atiku isn't a match for Tinubu.

@gensteejay, I trust you're keeping well!

I'm happy to read your post, and see your sudden and partial realisation that Nigeria's major problem is not religion, but government/politicians. While I commend your recent change/interest in Nigerian politics, and your new zeal to become a true citizen of your country called Nigeria by partially doing your civic duty when/if you finally vote come 2023, I would like to encourage you to join a party. Just as I told you over 2 years ago, attacking the issue by doing much more than not voting or joining a party is the only way. So, you can finally have a chance to vote out the likes of Atiku or Tinubu before they become the flag bearer of your party.

Peter Obi and Ojukwu both won their elections on the back of a newly formed party called APGA.

They both won those elections but the results were rigged and their mandates stolen.
Ojukwu decided not to contest his result on the basis of ill health but peter obi took his case to the courts and 3 years later was given his Justice and his mandate returned. He was the very first Nigerian governor to win his case in the courts.

The man has proven before that he can win even as an underdog.

He moved to the PDP after soo much wooing efforts by Obasanjo and subsequently good luck Jonathan.

Obasanjo wooed him with the ministry of education slot after seeing his works on education in his state but he declined and insisted on fighting his impeachment. Obasanjo then settled for Oby ezekwesili who went on to become another good national appointment from Anambra after Dora akunyili.

He won that wrongful impeachment case and continued the rest of his tenure.

Immediately after his tenure, Jonathan successfully lobbied and wooed him to the PDP by appointing him the chairman of the Nigerian securities and exchange commission. Thus he had now been on both sides of the corporate worlds. Head of Private corporations and head of government regulation. Chairman of Nigerian stock exchange and chairman of Nigerian securities and exchange commission.

The man was a trader. Selling Goods in Onitsha main market, then being the sole importer of some foreign brands, then sitting on Various corporate boards. He is what you call a self made man. The embodiment of the igbo entrepreneurial spirit.

Now compare that to others who were known money launderers for drug cartels, and those who made billions from the government customs and a corrupt privatization process of our national assests.

It is indeed shocking that the top 2 leading candidates of this election would be people who once had outstanding arrest warrants from the US governments. What a shame.

Joining the party to fix Nigeria is a waste if time. Nigeria can never succeed because it was not created for success. Nigeria is an unmitigated failure. Since 1960 the country has been through 5 coups and a civil war. This country was already on its deathbed the day it was born.

If you're trying to join any party, just make sure you're a delegate and secure your brown envelope. 25k dollars here and there are thr makings of an excellent contingency plan

Boss what are you even saying? Kwankwaso isn’t even Obie’s mate.

Kwankwaso has one senator, 5 house of reps, and 11 assembly members.

Most of kano votes would likely go to him.

He’s the kano star boy now.

And Many northerners would rather vote for him to prove a point.
