any reason for this?
I think he is just taking that advantage of the capital appreciation since FBNH dividend payout is not encouraging at all.

Dostartlimab, new drug cures colorectal cancer after trial.

I remember the big boss @RabbiDoracle mentioning the various things GSK's global organisation has been cooking in terms of their arsenal of new drugs in the medical field.

This discovery also supports the positive view that the big boss, @Onegentleguy has been singing about the company.

Actually, there has been lots of great stuffs happening in GSK recently!
I foresee some line of benefit trickling down to the Nigerian entity.
As I highlighted in time past, it's very pivotal to align with this company.
Notice the connection of recent events with what we have been saying here.

Again this journey will be swift.
It'd be like a train ride with Mr GSK.

The coys CMP still showing an over 81% discount (MoS peg from IV) even after detaching a 2.5x premium to current surrounding risk level in view of potential REWARD. (Here comes peace of mind)
...and that, using a very conservative valuation model.
Using the coys last financial print as yardstick, GSK should have NO business trading below N22.71.

In the stock market world, a cheap/undervalued asset isn't just one whose price is low in terms of VALUE or high in REWARD... but broadly one whose price is lower in terms of RISK and even higher in PEACE OF MIND.
...a wining investor must know how and when to relate in between !!

This Nugget is KEY !!

"Between uncertainties, difficulties and failures is the many 'gift packs' from the stock market.
...and inside those 'gifts' are smaller 'packs' with obstacles but which are sealed with CRAFT.
Yet down inside, are even more 'packs' of OPPORTUNITY."

~Sinclair

"The market will often present a discerning investor with 'souvenirs'.
Sometimes, they are even 'bigger gifts' for lesser monies.
The problem however is with knowing when to indulge it on an exchange.
...for therein lies your pathway to success!"

As at Dec, 2021, the foreign entity owns a collective 46.4% via Setfirst and Smithkliine Beecham. (27.3% and 19.1% respectively)
...a 5.7% stake by Stanbic Ibtc nominees brings the total substantial holdings to 52.1%. The balance of near 48% amounting to approx 572.46M unit is free float.

Don't give too much consideration to that part in bold.
The agenda might be to produce an Apc flag brearer from the south but not the president.

The "math" might be to produce an Apc southern candidate who will SHARE THE VOTE from within the south with @ Peter Obi, the popular and now LP candidate, while @ Atiku A, the Pdp presidential flag bearer coast to victory by amassing a great No of vote in the North and an appreciable figure from the south.
Current happenings in the south makes this a possibility.

Remember that the North almost always play an important role in determining who becomes your president. ...and with rare exceptions, the probability that a northerner will usually vote a northerner is always near 1. (I say this without an intent to any sought of ethnic division though)
Lots to say, but I don't want to litter this place with political discuss.

This hypothesis (well, for now) has nothing to do with the forward dynamic of the market though.
An Atiku presidency will also propel the mkt.
At this time, investors are more concerned with having peace and security knowing their investments are safe, than having a given name as president.
Our politicians are all the same. ...some are just a bit better than the others.

As I said before; The mkt is in accumulation mood... sideways trading is expected in the days ahead... but overall positive trend remains intact!
Any pullback at this time should only be seeing as an opportunity to strategically align with select KEY fundamentally healthy coys. (some are already in a great entry zone)
So it's a good thing you're buying now.

It is well.

Looks like the presidential race is now going to be btw @ Atiku A. of the PDP and @ Ahmed B. Tinubu of the APC.

There was indeed a country! wink cheesy grin
It is well.

You raised a very good point that we may have been underestimating that company. Oga @Onegentleguy don talk plenty things so tay I doubt he still has more saliva to spare on GSK PLC. More blessings to you Sir.

The lease of that manufacturing facility to Fidson PLC transfers a huge cost component to Fidson PLC and will enable the company to focus more on funding research development and marketing its successful products.

It's similar to how Apple or Amazon operate with their business model. Imagine if banking and non banking financial institutions had Uber or Bolt driver as marketers for their products and they share the income earned from each client onboarded via a commission structure?

It reduces the cost that would have been spent on cars, depreciating assets as well as human capital costs which allows the company focus on product designs and service systems.

If you are waiting for it to get to N9, you might miss out, as Femi himself might still comeback to mop it up.
I dont believe he would just let his full intention to sell some part be known. Lets keep watching!!!

NOTE: Qualification for their 0.35k dividend is Monday 13th, so lets keep that in mind also.

You seems to be thinking what I thought of too.

Otedola may need to quickly take care of certain contingency or acting on the inteest of another friend, thus cross some FBN units to him.....
How much is 600M+274M units sold compared to the billions he already acquired?
Is he going to now neglect the remaining over 7% shareholding in FBNH or wouldn't he still be interested in generating profits on that?
He's selling now, he may again come back to pick more than the units self. You can't predict those power hungry guys.

There is a lot of 'might' in this statement. As usual, nobody knows what will happen as Mr/Mrs/Miss Market has a mind of its own. My posts are simply based on the chart. What Femi decides to do or not do is entirely up to him. His intentions or lack thereof cannot be hidden from the charts that is why the reason for the sell-off is not important.

It has been said overly that there is only one reason why people buy stocks, they expect it to go up (not always the case) even insiders get it wrong BUT there are several reasons why people sell (school fees, divorce, marriage, midlife crisis, infact anything).

Riddle me this though, do you think these huge sellers don't know that dividend qualification is next week? Maybe they are not dividend investors(as a strategy) but simply traders who are happy with making their money from the market and getting ready to re-enter the market at a later date.

It could be a whole range of factors. My callout was just a caution that cheaper prices might be available not a call to sell.

Trust but verify.

You are definately right ma, seems he might have used that as a loan cover, and be back, after using the funds, to mop back his position.
Time will tell, lets wait and see. As for me, I don enter am fully and using their dividend as interest on the risk, while I wait for the big boys to do the usual, to move it back up (double gains) grin
