Lol it's a long, complicated story jare. Both my parents aren't around and he's being the one acting as my dad since childhood, we just didn't take the formal steps i.e. adoption or legal guardian. He's also afraid of leaving funds sitting "idle" in an account for 30+ days, that's why all this came up and he wanted to use his own account + letter. Guess it's to beg him

Thanks for your efforts and immense contributions to this platform. Please, I need your advice and opinion. My CAS will be issued next week. Unfortunately, my resident permit expires on the 31st of July, leaving me approximately 5 weeks to apply for my Uk study visa from here. I am worried that this time might not be enough, considering there is no longer a priority visa and i need to exit the country by the end of July- is it advisable for me to apply for the visa in Nigeria and get approved since I have been living abroad for the past 5 years. Can i use my foreign bank account to apply in Nigeria? Also, my contract here will expire in July, would this affect my visa application? Thank you so much for your time and advice.

Documents submitted - offer letter, passport, Academic recpmmendation letter from my former lecturer, Affidavit (i had name spelling descrepancies), WAEC, TB certificate (which was to expire 9th of may..i was scared about that), Bank Statement and undergraduate certificate.

Transfered to DMC - same day

No NSF mail

Collection mail - 7th june (tuesday)


I picked up my passport yesterday (8th june) with the vignette sitting pretty.

study gap 3 years

wish everyone awaiting their visa, success... the good news go reach everybody.


Now na cheap flight to London Heathrow i dey find. I hear there are student deals. please any suggestions ?

Nothing is wrong so far you have your POF and TB Cert with you..

Upload to them and wait for your Visa to be granted .

You got the nsf mail 16th or may or 16th of april? And what did it request??
I applied for student visa from TLS VI 14th of April and got NSF Mail 16th, replied on 17th and send a paid email on 25th which I was told decision made. That I should wait for 10 working days for TLS to contact me for visa collection.

It's is more than 10 working days now that the decision has been made but my application is still sitting at the DMC till now when I track it.

Note: My school email me on the 24th that my BRP is ready for collection in the school. I'm still in Nigeria waiting for my application to be sent to VAC and for VAC to email me for collection.

I have sent email to VAC they respond after 3 working days that I was told that if my application is transfered to them they will contact me. I also made a paid call today to UKVI they said they are limited to only check if decision has been made.

School already resumemed. Anyone with useful info of what I can do should pls respond to this message. Im already worried.
