We have all experienced the pain of cheating and disappointment. And where is that pain located?
Answer: In our chest area. We all hold our chest when we have those types of pain. And Glory be to God, the brain, the headquarters of the nervous system, is not in the chest.
So if you feel pain in your finger, that means the pain is processed in the finger right? Why do you do this? Why? |

I have read your post. And so I am here to tell you that the word "Normal" is from the word "norm" aka the the way thing have been done consistently in an environment. What is abnormal today was probably not normal yesterday. In my analogy, It is NORMAL ( even in the old times) for every man to want to have his chance with a lot of women. Not only is it normal but since time immemorial it has been natural. So I don't know what you think you are referring to when you say Normal. What is normal is subjective however in every society. I would advise you to not project your idea of normal of normal to everyone. With that, can you come again? I think you're subjecting NORM to decadence of morals in the human society which will never go down well with NORMAL humans! That's why i asked you: Will you find it normal if your daughter (adult), wife or mother freely gives herself to every man that comes her way? Your response/reaction to this question will stand as proof if such an act is NORMAL or ABNORMAL! Matthew 7:12 May you have PEACE! |

kimco: According to science, in the human body, the nervous system is responsible for feeling pain.
The bible claims that sinners will suffer forever in the burning lake of fire. And that the body will rot while the soul faces judgement.
Now my questions are simple:
1. Does the soul have a nervous system which is an attribute of the physical being? Nervous system has to do with fibres connecting different parts of the body and not the soul. So the soul doesnt have a nervous system, which, in itself, is an attribute of the physical body kimco: 2. If not, how are we to register the pain of hell forever. Its the combustion in the Lake of Fire, just like the incinerator refuse dump, Gehenna in ancient Jerusalem smoulders, that goes on forever. Might interest you to know that death, hell and souls dont continue burning after already being done combusted. No souls registers pain forever, no soul registers pain, after combustion is done. Dtruthspeaker: You still felt pain even when NO THING touched any part of your Nervous System (NS) eg the pain of cheating and betrayal and false accusation and disappointment etc
None of this touched the NS.
That surely tells you, you feel and can feel independent of your flesh. Pain can be felt physically (i.e. via the NS) and as well can be felt mentally (i.e. without NS necessarily being involved) kimco: This post is at least trying.
But unfortunately I am talking about physical pain. And who told you emotional pain does not involve the nervous system? You still need the brain to process the pain. You tried and I respect that. But come again. Luke 16:19-24 ' 19“Now there was a certain rich man who was habitually dressed in expensive purple and fine linen, and celebrated and lived joyously in splendor every day. 20And a poor man named Lazarus, was laid at his gate, covered with sores. 21He [eagerly] longed to eat the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Besides, even the dogs were coming and licking his sores. 22Now it happened that the poor man died and his spirit was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom (paradise); and the rich man also died and was buried. 23In Hades (the realm of the dead), being in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom (paradise). 24And he cried out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in severe agony in this flame.’ ' You dont need the brain to process the pain It's not unusual to be aware of pain or have knowledge of severe torment, intense wretchedness, worrisome suffering, agonising discomfort, debilitating affliction et cetera. The rich man, in the great beyond, there at Luke 16:24, obviously without a brain, without any nervous system et cetera, is traumatised enough to be aware of being under some serious stress or tension Brings home that Vanna Bonta RIP observation, where it contrasts, the pain of the body with the pain of the soul. Her remark is: ' The body knows no pain, not like the soul. At least a nerve has limits, a body part, a name. But the soul... the soul... There is no bandage ...' Re: How Will We Feel Pain In Hell. by NNTR: 6:05pm On Jun 06, 2022 |
NNTR: God is not just only a Spirit, that is not made at all, as He is the Maker, but God is incorporeal, meaning, God has no physical body, whereas man, taking into consideration the fact that man is tripartite, is made up with, a soul, spirit and body, as created by the Maker, God.
Unlike the body, that is physical, the soul and spirit, are not physical. The soul and spirit constitute an immaterial part of a whole person or being, whether human or animal.
Now dwelling further on man, the soul, is the animate life, and actually, is that humanity side of man, the seat, where our emotions, senses, desires, affections, appetites, character etc all emanates out from.
In fact, the word, soul, even is used to refer to the whole person, whether alive on earth (i.e. land of the living) and/or after dead and transited in the afterlife (i.e. land of dead)
Wrapping up, the soul is the essence of what a human being is. The soul,is you, it is who you are. No surprises then, that, it is the soul that faces judgment, not the spirit and neither, not the body that stands before God, to give account for all the thoughts, deeds, words and actions did while the soul and spirit were housed in the body.
Focusing on the spirit, the spirit actually and appropriately, is ruach, otherwise known as, the breath of God, and in reality, also known as, life force. Now, at this juncture, it is necessary, to note that, though humans and animals have spirit, (i.e. ruach, otherwise known as, the breath of God, and in reality, also known as, life force) they however are not spirits nor Spirit (i.e. God)
The spirit (i.e. ruach, otherwise known as, the breath of God, and in reality, also known as, life force) in relation to humans, is the element in humanity that gives us the ability to have, not just only a connection with God, but also used to form an intimate relationship with God through it. Essentially, meaning that, part of what the spirit is used for, is to connect to God with, who Himself is Spirit, the Life-force, and giver of ruach, otherwise known as, the wind or breath of God
When the soul is the seat, where our emotions, senses, desires, affections, appetites, character etc all emanates out from, Proverbs 20:27, lets us know that, the spirit of man (i.e. talking of conscience here, and where as it happens, conscience, is one of the faculties of the spirit), is the lamp of the LORD, searching and examining all the innermost parts of his being, while 1 Corinthians 2:11, complementing, says, no one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. You see, the spirit, doubles up also as a witness. It knows everything about the person, and this because of the 'record' it logs
While the soul has four faculties, which namely are: Consciousness, Intellect, Will and Emotions, now, as for the spirit, aside Conscience, the other faculties of the spirit, are Fellowship and Discernment or Intuition. It is when man’s spirit successfully connects to or connects with the Spirit, that it is becomes capable of knowing things of the Spirit (i.e. God). While the soul, is the humanity side of man, the seat, where our emotions, senses, desires, affections, appetites, character etc all emanates out from, even giving us a purpose and/or sense of life, the spirit, on the other hand, is the temple throne seat of God in man, it not only is, the nourisher of soul, but it also gives us a power of life, from tuning into the God frequency channel or station and receiving transmitted spiritual signals thereof. Somebody, shout, Alleluia.
Physical pain, can with medicine, be made less severe, but mental pain (e.g. sorrow, grief, torment, despair, anguish, depression, dementia etc) is less accessible to treatment. Why is this? It's because of being connected to who we are - our personality, our character, our soul. Try and connect the dots, in the the parable of Lazarus and the dead rich man
Yes, the soul and the spirit are connected, yet we know, courtesy of Hebrews 4:12, that, they are able to be separated and are treated separately
In summary, the spirit, is the spark of light, the living or life force in the body, while the soul is kind of interface between spirit and body
The body dies (i.e. physically), it is because the spirit (i.e. life or living force) has expired, so the spirit stops existing in the body, from leaving the body and returning back to God, while the soul leaves the body, and moves on to a waiting area, pending the Judgment Day and verdict of where the last destination of the soul, will be. The body, after the exit of the spirit, experiences physical death, disintegrates, to end up, returning back, to being dust.
Dtruthspeaker: And there you prove spirit because Abstract, "emotional, mental are words used to describe things unseen, which is what I am proving against him.
And your comments also establish my case against him which is people still feel beyond their physical skin. I am throwing light about, I am throwing beams of light to shine on the subject matter. The lights will either end up as glows that illuminates or as glares that obscures. Thats all I'll say to this your remark here Personal text: Jesus is not a theologian. He is God who told stories. |

Normal doesnt mean right or wrong. Normal means consistent and "acceptable"you behavior. I put acceptable in quotes because again it doesn't mean right thing but rather part of our daily lives so much so that nobody bats an eye when these things happen. In Ghana a taxi driver returned a huge amount to a certain passenger and it was news. He was hailed and everyone donated to him. What can we learn from this 1. It is normal to expect the taxi driver to keep the money 2. It was not normal to have him return the money 3. Corruption is the order of the day, the new normal. Thank you also for engaging me. kimco:
I realised you dodged the initial question. Let's back up, you are digressing seriously. What gladdens people's heart, is it universal? Please dont use outliers and dont digress. Stay on topic. To answer your question I will not be happy. But prostitution is normal in our society. Please compare the two highlighted and tell me if you're no part of the NOBODY that bats an eye when your close relative becomes a prostitute then i will agree that it's normal! 1 Like |

NNTR: Physical pain, can with medicine, be made less severe, but mental pain (e.g. sorrow, grief, torment, despair, anguish, depression, dementia etc) is less accessible to treatment. Why is this? It's because of being connected to who we are - our personality, our character, our soul. Try and connect the dots, in the the parable of Lazarus and the dead rich man
kimco: So how will the soul feel pain then. It depends on the soul, if the soul will feel pain then or not feel pain, however, it'll be safe to say that, the soul will feel pain, a similar way, one feels pain in dreams. The way you know that you're having a piss in a dream, is the same way the soul, you essentially, can be aware of feeling or having pain kimco: That is my question? Its a good enquiry Are you familiar with the saying: ' The soul has been given it's own ears, to hear things, mind does not understand' Now watch this, what's the correlation between emotional pain and fibromyalgia?kimco: Someone says if the bible says so then it shall happen. Full stop. Do you agree? Thats like, whoever the person is that said that, is trying to use a Get Out of Jail Free card. The bible did say so, that the rich man was tormented though. Or didnt it say so? Personal text: Jesus is not a theologian. He is God who told stories. |

Where do you think this dream pain is processed and the urine analogy too. Where do you think these impulses are processed? NNTR:

Im sure this is not a poetry class. Where is the science behind this? This statement is unecessary in this conversation. NNTR:
Now watch this, what's the correlation between emotional pain and fibromyalgia? Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues. Researchers believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain and spinal cord process painful and nonpainful signals.- source: mayoclinic.org NNTR:
Thats like, whoever the person is that said that, is trying to use a Get Out of Jail Free card. Hmmm NNTR:
The bible did say so, that the rich man was tormented though. Or didnt it say so? It did, now I am asking the hard hitting question regarding those claims. NNTR:

It's because of being connected to who we are - our personality, our character, our soul. Try and connect the dots, in the the parable of Lazarus and the dead rich man You analogy is a bit flawed. Let me explain. If you have a sore toe because you burnt it then medicine can help it become less severe. But let's say during the treatment the toe is still inteoduced to the fire...what do you think will happen? No amount of medicine can fix that...you will feel more pain. That is same with emotional pain, if you are sick of broken heart, and become clinically depressed, it is advised that along with drugs you avoid anything that may trigger the source of your depression. Then you know for sure that indeed medine works. 1 Like |
