Good afternoon house. I was rejected US student visa 2021 but while filling my eligibility to study form from university of Bolton I selected No to a question that asked if I have ever been refused visa thinking they were referring to UK visa. I will like to if these won’t affect my visa application.

Hello house. I have a study gap of about 7 years and currently not employed. Left the banking sector last year due to retrenchment(contract staff). Sad part is that I cannot lay my hands on any employment letter from any of the banks I worked with. Can I go to the last branch i worked in to request a reference letter and submit with my visa application? Almost everybody knows me there.

Maybe you should cancel the payment and generate another payment instruction from flywire then you should go to your bank and tell them to put the new reference number instead of the former one when they want to send the money. I think it should still be the same account number for both the new and old.

Please let me know if this method is successful I might need to do the same from the way things are going with the bank.

My bank statement shows opening balance on the 5th May (final deposit was 4th May) , so I printed from 5th May to 6th June.

Last transaction was 2nd June.

Please does ukvi count back from last transaction date (2nd June) or they use the period of the statement (5th May to 6th June)

School said ukvi will count back from 2nd June and it will not be 28 days. I'm confused because I have already applied for the visa

Are you sure that’s what your school meant exactly or you misunderstood them? Your statement counts from start date till end date it was generated regardless of the most recent/ oldest transaction date.

Documents submitted - offer letter, passport, Academic recpmmendation letter from my former lecturer, Affidavit (i had name spelling descrepancies), WAEC, TB certificate (which was to expire 9th of may..i was scared about that), Bank Statement and undergraduate certificate.

Transfered to DMC - same day

No NSF mail

Collection mail - 7th june (tuesday)


I picked up my passport yesterday (8th june) with the vignette sitting pretty.

Kindly approach any of your providers or the most recent one that deployed you to your last place of employment as the bank is not your direct employer and HR will never reference you because your file does not sit with bank directly.

Your direct employer is your provider, you were only seconded to the bank.

As a current offer holder too but yet to get to Aberdeen myself, I learnt the school is quite demanding in terms of study hours. Meaning, you may not have good time to work, and job opportunities in the city aren't as much as in cities like Edinburgh and Glasgow.

If you are going with your partner who can work full time to support you, then you may not have to worry. But try to pay at least 50% of your deposit.
