Politics is a dirty game that involves licking some asses you wont lick normally. And that is universal. A true christian can be involved in politics but he is unlikely to win. |

shegz24: Many just utter whatever comes out of their mouth they don't know what politics means for real! Ordinary counselor a true Christian can't win because he will stand on the truth no nepotism no hypocrisy no bribery Of course he will have to vote for himself because even his wife and kids that truly loves him won't like him to go Into the gathering of those WOLVES talkless dragging political seats with them. So they will pray that he loses |

RussellRutherfo: Is because they dont have fear of God that's why they spread lies and bend teachings. So someone or group who has fear for God needs to go there and make it right. If you dont understand me at this point then forget it. I hope you're not one of those jehovah witness people ? |

MaxInDHouse:Jesus did not teach us to demonize politics. If good people run away from politics, who will remain? The problem Nigeria is facing today is that good people misconstrued politics as evil. |

If Christians refused to get involved in politics, there would have been slavery, zero human rights, and extreme injustice in the western world. Christianity changed western politics and the world as a whole for the better. |

Please , what profession or occupation are you currently into? Is it only Christians that are in that profession? If not, then by your current belief or argument, it means you too have been unequally yoked with the unbelievers in that profession/occupation/association. Mention one verse in the scriptures that forbid Christians from being rulers or leaders in a society. So governance should be left only to unbelievers while you obey all their commands? If idol worshippers become a governor or president or senators and enact strange laws for the land that favour their evil ways or even ban Christianity , will you be happy with that? olowo1930: |

Newton2024:While He did not teach you to demonize the ways of the world, He certainly commanded you to not engage in their ways - Matthew 20 vs 20 - 28. . There Jesus Christ actually commands His followers not to engage in politics, stating instead that His followers are called to be slaves who serve in much the same way that He did. |

Engr2016:1. None! Jesus Christ commanded His followers to cease working for food that perishes - John 6 vs 25 - 33. He called His first 12 followers to abandon everything for His sake declaring that only those who do as for His sake will be saved and have Heaven- Matthew 10 vs 34 - 38 and Matthew 19 vs 28 - 20 2. Being unequally yoked with unbelievers is a topic for another day but Jesus Christ commanded you, in Matthew 20 vs 20 - 28 to stay away from the politics of the Gentiles, urging you to instead be a servant serving as He did. Why do you care so much about the politics of this world when as a believer in Jesus Christ you are no longer supposed to care about this world but your focus ought instead to be on the Kingdom of God where you chose to be a part of instead? 3. So what? God never told you He wants to live in this world. He said instead He desires to live on the inside of you and through you so why be afraid of the world and it's ways? |

tctrills:Slavery and injustice existed in this world for hundreds of years because of Christians. So don't now pretend Christians weren't part of the problem to begin with.. Jesus Christ never called you to sit on any Throne in the world. He instead told you that though you are in this world , you are not of this world - Matthew 20 vs 20 - 28 :-\ |

yanabasee:This is the reason Nigeria and World is Upside Down, The Believer in God are Scared of Joining Governance/Government/Politics in order not to Sin against God: There is Emotional and Mental Blocks in Africa/Nigeria regarding Belief and Believe: Nothing Stops a Believer of God and nothing else from engaging in Politics but Emotions for God: God do not want Your Emotions, God wants You to go out there and Win for the Masses: God will surely win for You if You desire and Do Your Assignments/Politics very well: Your are only limited by your Fears and Mental/Emotional Blocks: God is Limitless and if you can Understand the Scientific Language/Calculations of God, You will be Guided to the Seat with Ease and little Casualties So many Christians/Muslims will even enter Hellfire before Buhari/Putin/Trump and all Global leaders because the personal Attrocities of Some is beyond Buhari decisions making errors which God can even forgive him for Oversight: Those that Marketed God to Africa really created a Mental Block in order to exploit the Resources: ...... Call on God like David did and Match On to Victory: |

Kobojunkie:You got it all wrong. Slavery and injustice existed in this world for hundreds of years because of Christians but it was stopped by Christian nations. Please read your history. The UK, France, US were all Christain nations in the nineteenth century. The Christain civilization brought democracy, human rights, and liberties to the rest of the world. |

Kobojunkie:I am not even sure you understand my point. The Christain nations made this world a better place for us all. We are the salt of the earth, we make the world a better place. Thanks to great Christian leaders, you are able to freely preach your religion and give your opinion. If Christians did not influence politics, we wouldn't have the present privilege. No one is going to hell for involving in politics. |

First of all, are you a Christian or not? There are so many belief systems or doctrines many associate with Christianity today which are not part of biblical Christianity. So our belief systems or doctrines will definitely influence our line of thoughts. I don't know yours because GOD knows those who are His. Nevertheless, the biblical Christianity that I know teaches that we are the light of the world and salt of the earth. This implies we must influence the world positively to the glory of Christ until he returns the second time to establish His eternal kingdom. No persecution, hatred , terrorism etc will stop his Kingdom. Just be prepared all the time! Kobojunkie: |

Omooba77: If you truly understand the kingdom of God and what He intends for men to do here on earth then you'll know that a true christian is the right person to be involved in politics. That true christian is the only person that will bring sanity and God's kind of light into the system. Any other person will only be an imitation of the light and they are many of such which tends to be false. |

tctrills:1. Stop this habit of pretending your confusion is someone else's. It gets old fast!. 2. There's no such as a Christian nation this since the Christian(Kingdom of God) Covenant agreement God gave was to individuals and not to groups, people's, or even nations - Matthew 26 vs 28 - 30. 3. There are no such things as Christian leaders again since God made it clear that He alone is Head/Master, authority\Leader, King, Lord, etc., in the Kingdom of God. 4. No Christian who truly submits to the teachings(and commandments) of Jesus Christ would venture back into working for perishable bread - John 6 vs 25 - 35 - let alone occupying a seat in politics of this world - Matthew 20 vs 20 - 28 - as these are old against the commandments of Jesus Christ, the King in the Kingdom of God which every Christian instead belongs . |

achimendy:I think Jesus should be our role model. The early Christians were politically neutral. Jesus is coming to the earth in the future with his kingdom to restore things. If you want to do politics, you would have to go dirty. Also, church leadership is different from world politics |

Raph82:Jesus is coming soon with his kingdom to restore things. He will defeat every human government and reign on earth together with the kings under him. Real Christ hope should be set on God, Jehovah, not on mere human leaders. |
