Good day every one. I am new to this PNP stuff. I want my wife to go through the Canada hassle while i try the UK hassle. She has a masters degree with teaching experience. Can someone please summarize the whole process from acquisition of Passport till landing in Canada or send a link where i get the information? I have started reading from page 1 but haven't gotten the whole process. Also is there a telegram or Whatsapp group one can join? Thank you all

Hello everyone
Quick question
1.if the data page of an international passport is folded, and has a little mark will ircc still stamp the passport
2. if the stamp ink used to show the name of the studio of where the passport was taken was smudged on the face of the passport will IRCC accept those passports
3. if the ink used for stamping is too thick and makes the name of the studio blur, is there a problem
I know I'm worrying smiley
Thanks for your anticipated responses

why do people like to complicate things Do not include spouse work experience in the experience entry profile. Just state under personal history. No need for all these mental gymnastics

Can't skipping it be considered as inconsistency?

you are to list jobs you are claiming points for pre ITA. I had worked in 3 places but already have 3 years in my last one which already gave me maximum points. So because of your imaginary inconsistencies I should have listed all my jobs And be running helter skelter to get reference letter Omo why are some people like this lol. They said Canadian work experience you want to put Nigerian work experience. How is that sensible

for pnp you have to visit the website of each province to see if you qualify. Unfortunately not everyone does. Some require job offer, some require having a family member in the province. So pick from the pool randomly. So target certain occupations. Google pnp tracker for more. Pnp sometimes is based on luck

ChangetheChange:

PNP nominees will get more ITAs than FSW/express entry candidates this Year and beyond, that's the direction express entry is speedily moving towards, FSW draws will now be modelled like PNP occupations in Demand draws.,no longer based on your high scores.
I Know couple of guys who have gotten ITAs this year through the PNP route with less than 370 CRS score because of their occupations which are critical in demand in these provinces.
It is inevitable.
Several FSW draws will now be program specific, when the bill is passed this month and no longer based on high CRS score when the Draws resume in July.
It will be bad market for IELTS, as people will bo longer be worried about retaking IELTS countless time in order to max out their CRS score.
This is very bad for ITAs hopefuls. Since different provinces are sending out PNPs due to their job demands, they would have just left the FSW to take its original course. As painful as it is to say, I would suggest ITAs hopefuls like myself to start gearing up for plan B's, especially if your NOC may not be in demand

There is a contradiction I noticed now from IRCC, when uploading documents during e-APR.

Hitherto, spouse isn't required to upload work reference letter if Canadian experience is not claimed.

But now, once your spouse claims foreign work experience outside canada and it is added in Personal history. The document checklist will require spouse to upload work reference letter. Even though, the work experience was not gained in Canada but a foreign country.

This is to give heads up to new applicants to know how they will navigate it.

I read somewhere and someone advised that a screenshot of IRCC guideline stating WRL not required should be uploaded (makes sense) But IMO, if spouse WRL can be gotten it should be gotten please.

The EE system typically asks you for documents depending on what you have completed.

If you complete WORK EXPERIENCE/EMPLOYMENT HISTORY for spouse, it will ask you to upload docs...whether or not WORK EXPERIENCE/EMPLOYMENT HISTORY is in Canada.

The system expects that since they have already told us that spouse non-Canadian WORK EXPERIENCE/EMPLOYMENT HISTORY gets ZERO CRS points then it should be included in PERSONAL HISTORY not WORK EXPERIENCE/EMPLOYMENT HISTORY. This is what most people do.

If someone updates nil for spouse WORK EXPERIENCE/EMPLOYMENT HISTORY but IRCC still asks for docs for details updated in PERSONAL HISTORY (I'm extremely surprised that the system would so this though), then statement in red is most appropriate IMO.

For this that their FSW AOR is 2019 & 2020. For the issue of POF, how were you able to do it. Considering the fact that you waited for almost 2years or more than that after getting an ITA. Did you leave the POF untouched or how did you do it? Just curious

nymphomaniac:
dimple10 and graciouswords, this is an interesting one. I am curious as well.

What Mr Pein said.

1.Do not, I repeat do not, attempt to hold the POF in Naira. Convert to US Dollars immediately you begin saving or get a gift deed and worst case as soon as you submit your application. This reduces your exchange rate risk.

2. Invest if you can. The rates will never compare to Naira investment rates but the deval of the Naira wipes out those Naira returns anyway....... unless you are investing in MMM cheesy

3. Life happens...if you have an emergency maybe try and borrow while leaving the POF intact as much as possible.

4. Some people had no choice but to dip into their POF and got ADR. I've only heard the PPR testimonies. Not sure if others got rejected and they didn't share.

Ko easy.....

What MrPein and gracious said.

I’ll also add that some people had no choice but to touch POF due to family/health emergencies. But almost everyone i knew put it back before being asked and explained with a convincing LOE. (Do not do this unless life and death situation).

There is a section for spouse foreign work experience (as in work outside canada), even though they know it does not add any point (this is different from Canadian work experience and it is about spouse not the principal applicant).

If you skipped that part and went to personal history to fill jobs for spouse, you say the fear of being considered inconsistent is imaginary? Remember one had to provide documents to show proof for schools claimed under personal history even without ECA? Should not one wonder why there is mandatory need to proof school and not also job claimed? Meanwhile their interest is in skilled WORKERS!

Anyways if for whatever reason you dont want them to know that your spouse has any work experience outside Canada, won't it be better to stay on that lane, clean all through, rather than ignore it in a section and say the spouse has work experience in another section?

Is their question seeking to know if one's spouse has foreign work experience irrational/irrelevant and deserves no response?

Lastly, i'm surprised you feel my question and fear about inconsistency is imaginary. You also insinuated that I am not being sensible. I think we can address one another more nicely. I was only asking questions and expressing concerns so that everyone can learn to avoid latent surprises.

Thanks so much, your input helped.

IRCC should just erase spouse foreign work experience section, rather than confusing our anxieties

I didn't trust them enough to leave any applicable section unfilled. I had to get spouse reference letter when I noticed it was asked at submission point. I needed to check again to be sure I didn't pick Canadian work experience for spouse. They should discountenance the WRL when it is seen. I can't shout

I appreciate your response once again.

no arguing with you again bro. You clearly are mixing things up or imagining things. Show me where the bolded is stated because it like na another express entry i apply o, because I listed my bsc and 3 other certifications in personal history meanwhile my eca had only bsc and ican aat. You should start reading this thread from part 1. Its people like you that will provide 10 job references instead of providing one or two that have met the 3 years maximum. I cant deal bro lol

Hello good evening
Please I am trying to create a PNP profile on Saskatchewan platform
I got to a point where they requested for Job seeker validation code

I didn't receive that

Though in my previous profile in 2019, I got the code for job seeker (but the profile has expired)
So I created a new one in February and I entered pool in February this year, but I didn't receive the code

Please what should I do?
Kindly advise

Thank you

Hello everyone. I am really grateful that this page is available. It is really helping a lot of us. A little about myself: I studied engineering. After my graduation, I did my NYSC in the engineering department of a ministry. At the conclusion of my NYSC, I had to start looking for a job and I recently got an engineering job with a private company. As I only recently started at this job, it hasn't been up to a year, but the NYSC service was for a year. After checking on the CRS calculator, because other factors I have going my way, I really only need 1 year experience to be okay. My plan initially was to use my NYSC experience for that one year, but I spoke to some people who said that the Canadian immigration officials don't regard NYSC service as legitimate work experience and so it wouldn't count for me. And so I have a two-part question:
1) Is NYSC experience viewed as real work experience for the purposes of Canadian immigration?
2) Can you combine experience from two different companies (in my case the ministry and the private company) if it is moreorless the same job you were doing at both places?

I would really appreciate hearing from you guys and I'm sure that you all will proffer a lot of astute suggestions.
Thanks.

There is a section for spouse foreign work experience (as in work outside canada), even though they know it does not add any point (this is different from Canadian work experience and it is about spouse not the principal applicant). The question asks about WE, it didn't specify Canadian or Foreign, if I recall. It clearly tells us to include WE that will be assessed for eligibility of EE. Why include what you know is not part of EE eligibility?.

If you skipped that part and went to personal history to fill jobs for spouse, you say the fear of being considered inconsistent is imaginary? Yes please smiley. Remember one had to provide documents to show proof for schools claimed under personal history even without ECA? Should not one wonder why there is mandatory need to proof school and not also job claimed? What is the source of this information please? We are not required to provide docs for non Canadian education if spouse has not done ECA.

Anyways if for whatever reason you dont want them to know that your spouse has any work experience outside Canada, won't it be better to stay on that lane, clean all through, rather than ignore it in a section and say the spouse has work experience in another section? This is not about hiding information or not wanting them to know smiley but about putting info in the appropriate section of the application. Putting spouse non-Canadian employment details in Personal History is entirely appropriate. Personal History is information on ALL your spouse has been doing for the past 10 years. Spouse Foreign WE is not being hidden by not putting it in PERSONALHISTORY smiley

Is their question seeking to know if one's spouse has foreign work experience irrational/irrelevant and deserves no response? The question is a general question about WE that is being used to claim points. No distinction between Canadian and Foreign. If you know that non Canadian experience is ZERO CRS then the appropriate response is No. If you say Yes and provide docs, best case is that an experienced VO will ignore all the jara you provided and approve you regardless. Worst case is you might end up confusing a not so experienced VO....

See red.

Your application will probably be ok, I believe.

For people coming behind to have the right information..... IRCC has given us checklists to use ......staing exactly what docs are needed, why they are needed and who should provide.

Very useful info being shared on NL, WhatsApp and Telegram...but always cross-check with IRCC webpages.
