Yes you’re still F4. If the last police report you did isn’t upto 2years, then don’t bother doing it and go for only medicals which they require.

Please i need your advise in regards my case, My mom filed for me since 2013 with priority date April 2013. I had to expedite it from NVC to Lagos Consulate which was approved recently.

So here is my question, I got the Packet 4 Guidance from Lagos consulate but i cant find any available dates for interview. How do I schedule for an interview since there are no available dates on the us travel docs portal? Will the embassy provide an interview date for me or I need to reach out to them for interview availability?

Any suggestion & guidance will be appreciated.

bro I'm on the same boat as you are my pd is 2019, thought I would be in US by now, I'm just tired

We Slept in a hotel on Victoria Island. Just 6 minutes away from the embassy.

Got to the embassy past 5 am.
We were not allowed to go inside until 6:15am. (Phones are not allowed but keys and wallets are)

Me: Good morning



V:O: Called out everyone’s name.
Who’s the principal applicant?
Me: I am

V:O: Who’s the principal petitioner?
Me: Sister ( we both laughed)

V:O: where does she live?
Me: I told him my sister’s address

Me: I told him

Checked through documents and photos and took fingerprints.
He handed a white paper and asked us to keep checking our mails for the issuance updates.
Visa approved.

You need to be patient people in the same visa category as yours whose priority date is April 2019 and documentary qualified since July 2021 has not being called for interview. It is just crazy . You need to be patient and engage yourself with other activities.

You need to wait for another 2 to 3 months before you hear from NVC to know if they accepted all your civic documents without an issue then you will be mailed that you are Documentary qualified, but if the require any other document they will let you know . But it is wise to get it right on first submission.

The bolded is underrated.
While the entire application process is inherently slow, the part of the timeline under your control (that you can save) is when required documents are properly uploaded.

Yeah. Still functioning till date. Just get a good battery and inverter and charger that works for your estimated load

Some drastic action need to be taken. Otherwise the backlog won't be cleared in 4 years

3.My pd was November 2015 and Dq April 2022 when how long will it take to be scheduled for an interview?
4.Is the effect of the backlog according to specific catergory or its affecting every catergory?

Please I have a quick question. I’m currently at the nvc stage, I filed for my husband who was previously married but lost his wife 2 years before we got married. However, he only did Nikkah with her. Aside from the death certificate, does he need to provide any proof or certificate of marriage for their marriage? If yes, he does not have one because it was just Nikkah. Will a statement from him explaining be sufficient or does he need an affidavit?

1. F11 is adult child(ren) of a US citizens

2. It’s not in any advantage, if your petitioner filed for you when he/she was a legal permanent resident, then it means you were in f2b. F2b current is faster than F1, as F2b is at sept 2015 and F1 is at dec 2014. Although you’re not current in either categories, but you have a better chance at F2b. If you’re already transferred to F1, write to nvc through this inquiry mail below and tell them to please change your category back to F2b. https://nvc.state.gov/inquiry

3. You can only be eligible to be scheduled for an interview when you become current in chart A of the vis bulletin. And right now, they’re at Sept 2015 for F2b, and dec 2014 for F1.

4. It’s affecting every category. Only that categories like F categories(F1-F4) are all affected way more than immediate relatives. But all are still affected by the backlog.
