Hello Guys, please I need to know if there are online professional certification that one can do from Nigeria in readiness for jobs in financial industries in Canada. I have a first degree in finance and over 10years experience in the Nigerian bank as an operations manager.

Hello, please how did you get your AirBnB, looking to get one in Brampton or Hamilton. Appreciate any leads?

I just used the Airbnb website and searched for cheap rooms in Toronto then chose the one I'm currently in. Just search for rooms in a location of your choice and you'll see a wide array of rooms at different price points. Goodluck in your hunt.

There is a fully furnished short let available in a very descent area in Brampton, you call do a month or two there while looking for a long term rental. You can message me if interested.

You have to change the location on the app to Nigeria to book. I experienced the same until the CS at their office directed me.

I booked on the app and made payment at their office. The exchange is 444 to 1USD.

You can book and call them or send an email. They will give you an account number to pay and send your ticket via email.

On the side, you can book to take off from Lagos because I noticed that Lagos prices are cheaper compared to Abuja.

Of course, you should be looking for an apartment that has a heater. You wan make Toronto cold hammer you? Lol.
Welcome to canada! smiley
North York is a good area for an immigrant. I don't know if there's any area there that isn't good. Toronto is not really like Lagos. I think a good advice is to find a roommate, because that way the rent could be more affordable. You can easily find a roommate in North York and pay less than $1000 for a very good 2-bed apartment. You may also want to consider Etobicoke, which is also a good area to stay in, I believe.

For survival jobs, go register yourself with the many employment agencies present around. There are a lot of them downtown and in Mississauga. You may be able to find a job quickly with these guys.

On transitioning into tech, I just wanted to let you know it's very possible. I have a handful of friends who have done this successfully. It may not be easy, but it is very possible. That's probably what you should focus o, the fact that it is very possible. A good starting point may be getting enrolled in many of the certificate programs in the top universities. Make sure to pick something you are comfortable with from the start and not keep experimenting about wasting your time.

Good luck!
Thanks boss. I really appreciate!

Hello good day and happy Sunday
Please I want to ask

If you want to buy a house in Canada (Mortgage)
How many percentage is the down payment if you are new and don't have any credit score yet

If you have no credit score, or a very low credit score, you're going to struggle to get a mortgage. And if you do it won't be at a competitive rate. You can build your credit score pretty quickly however. Might be worth trying to build a decent score before applying for a mortgage. Some advice here on how to do it: https://www.canadafornewbies.com/how-to-improve-credit-score-canada/

I think its now 1000 USD and it might take about a month. If you apply for 4000USD, your application might not be attended to.
