You’re right about the biometrics, also kids below 14 or so ain’t required to do biometrics so unless you have teenagers, it’s just you and your spouse doing biometrics.

Also husband, wife and 3 kids makes you a family of 5 not 3. For when you’re calculating PoF.

.. unfortunately it's sad to say that even if u maxed out on IELTS, you're likely not to have a good score that'll qualify you to be invited to apply for permanent residency.. that been said, I'll advice you get your HND, maxed out on ielts, have minimum of 3 years working experience.... You should be fine with that. Take note that the pool is highly dynamic too. But do those first, it's enough to get you through.... All factors being equal

PPR is finally here...class of 2020

Got married in November 2020 and added my spouse in December 2020. She passed medicals in April 2021.

My newborn arrived in March 2021. I sent numerous webforms to IRCC to inform them. He was finally added in September 2021. I also attached updated proof of funds. I used Piggyvest and 25% pension for the proof of funds, even though the funds in my Piggyvest account were sufficient.

ADR - PCC and Form A - April 2022. We uploaded the documents on 6 May 2022.

PPR - Today, 13 June 2022. My mind was doing gbim gbim I was logging into my profile to check the mail from IRCC. Lo and behold, it was the much awaited PPR.

I got most of the information for the process - including addition of spouse and newborn from this thread. Many thanks to everyone that has contributed in one way or the other.

What me I want to know is....would you really have withdrawn your application at the end of this month if PPR did not show?

ADR acknowledged/ 2nd MEP: 11 May 22

RFV mail: 17 May 22.
Passport submitted to DHL: 18 May 22
Passport arrived VFS Nairobi: 24 May 22
Passport dispatched to IRCC Nairobi: 25 May 22
Passport arrived IRCC: 27 May 22
Decision envelope to VFS Nairobi: 31 May 22

Took the email from VFS to DHL for pick up same day
Envelope picked up: 2 June 22
Passports/ COPR received in hand 6 June 22

Started disposing of items no longer needed at home with hopes that the approval will happen before the end of the first half of the year.

The non canadian work experience for spouse was in a separate section, in the column for just the spouse. After one said No, to spouse Canadian work experience, you still meet this section. I saw it. I had to crosscheck again and again when i noticed document checklist needed spouse WRL, while I had the notion I wont be asked. I did lots of research on NL and cadavisa and it's majorly that they won't ask me for it. Finally, I had to upload spouse WRL since it is in the checklist and I neither picked nor have score for spouse Canada work experience.

I felt i should alert new applicant hence my originating post cos my concern is, if spouse foreign work experience is not important, why put it there again?

About IRCC checklist, I got talking with someone whose application was refused cos he didn't upload his ECA document, meanwhile it is not in any IRCC checklist for it to be uploaded. What they said is, it may be requested later on. So when you see issues like this, one won't want to leave any stone unturned.
