If truly that these people were responsible for some of the gruesome killings in the East, they should pay for the killings. Having said that, the police should do a proper investigation into the allegation against them, for I could hear one of them denying involvement in the killings.

The arrested were lamenting that they dont know what they were arrested for. This video is complete nonsense and Im sure that any reasonable person can tell.

They say that this gang kidnapped someone a day before and the Police went after them, there was a shootout, and the Police gunned down one of them and arrested others

Lets just assume this is all true. So you gun down a kidnapper, arrest others, but you make a video where you say the name of the kidnapper you gunned down, but still call him "unknown gunman"? How can you know him, but not know him?

Then you go and bring a Biafran flag and place there? A Biafran flag you got from where? You went after kidnappers, you had a serious shootout, you killed one of them and arrested others, but you only made a video to say they are "unknown gunmen", placed arms and a Biafran flag on the floor, did photo ops

You didnt even care to say anything about your heroic investigation skills, or the shootout and how you managed to overwhelm them? Meanwhile, the people you arrested are saying in Igbo that they dont know why they were arrested

I don't have much time, so I'll go straight to the point.

One of the strangest, weirdest and most insane things I have ever heard in my life is the claim by some southerners that makes it seem like there are no security operations going on in Northern Nigeria. It is absolutely insane!

You'll hear this people say, "Why haven't Fulani herdsmen been arrested", anytime someone is arrested in the south. Anytime there is a security operation in the south you'll hear them say, "Why don't they face Boko Haram"? I have to wonder, are these people deaf, dumb and blind??

There has been an all out war in the North-East for the past ten years! The military has used main battle tanks, fighter jets, armoured fighting vehicles and armoured boats in that war. Nothing that has happened in the south has come even close to what is going on in the North.

Lots of Fulani have been arrested, prosecuted and sentenced for committing crimes in the past few years. I remember a few years ago when a Nairalander told me that no Fulani has been arrested. I immediately sent her details of 5 instances when Fulanis have been sentenced.

What is going on in the South is child's play compared to what is going on in the North. You might not be aware because you don't care, but that doesn't change the facts.

Do you know how many innocent Northerners have also been arrested (in the same way that SARS used to arrest innocent people in the south)? I am composing a post about that (I have previously written about that here, but I'm composing a new post.

She claimed that the IRT arrested her when they were trying to catch her brother and that she had a miscarriage while she was in their custody).

The daftness is unbelievable. The only excuse that I can imagine is that they are desperate for some kind of favourable news.

There are and have been very many groups that have kidnapped people for money all over Nigeria. This is a well known fact. Ipob/ESN/Autopiloters have not been accused of kidnapping people for money (but this does not mean that they cannot do that). What the armed autopiloters are known for is acts of terror, that is, using violence to achieve a political aim.


However, supporters of the terrorists are using the claim by a kidnap victim that he was kidnapped by Fulani people as a sign that Ipob is innocent and has never carried out violent attacks. I wonder if these people are suffering from brain damage.


1) The fact that some Fulani people have been accused of kidnapping people does not mean that all kidnappings have been carried out by Fulani people. The members of MEND, Evans, Hamisu Wadume, etc. are not Fulani.

2) It is also a known fact that groups of Fulani people have been engaged in kidnapping and I have posted about that many times, including here: https://www.nairaland.com/822196/it-begins-me/352#102802632

3) The fact that some Fulani people have been accused of kidnapping people has absolutely nothing to do with the violence that is perpetrated by Ipob. Ikonso, Dragon, Chidera Nnabuihe and others are not Fulani. Efe Uwanogho, who called for the beheading of politicians, members of the clergy and government workers in the South-East is not Fulani. Simon Ekpa and Nneka Igwenagu, who threatened the Ogidi youth leader before he was murdered are not Fulani. The people that announce sit-at-home protests, the people that use violence to enforce it and the people that celebrate these violent acts on Twitter, Facebook and Nairaland are not Fulani.


The desperate attempt to link the two is being pushed by brainless people.
