My mother's name is Khadijat Yusuf, born to Muslim parents, and at a point raised by a Muslim cleric, married as a Muslim, but in her 30s, got converted to Christianity. In the beginning, she had attended some churches (2-3), but about 4 years after her conversion, she finally settled down at Deeper Life Bible Church. I could remember a time she preached to a man and managed to hand him over to Men in church for follow-up. This man was a Muslim. These days when I tell people my name is Abubakar and I am a Christian, they look at me with surprise and asked the Question How come? as if being a Fulani Christian is a taboo or it is impossible for the Power. These people should have rather praised God and take the courage to preach to more Muslims.
Note: I am not a Fulani, but I'm from the North.

I believed we can do better than Insulting the Muslims and their faith or the Prophet they believed in. As a matter of Biblical fact, Many Christians who called Prophet Mohammed an unprintable name will actually go to Hell as disobedience to Matthew 5vs22

Many Christians don't know the power of the message you carry. I am not certain that Islam has any other message other than calling people to acknowledge the supremacy of God, this message is actually for the Pagans who are idol worshipers, not for Christians because before Islam the Christians has already known God through Jesus and the revelation from the Holy Spirit. see 1 John 2vs13

13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

Talking about heaven and eternity the revelation predates what was taught or is being taught in Islam, and this should make you a Christian know better. Come to think of it, you have the opportunity to read the bible in a language you can understand better and doesn't need a language class before reading to understand.

Muslims, either from the North or South are not your opposition but potential customers that should be preached to and brought to Christianity and knowledge of true salvation. If you cannot preach share gospel material. if a debate is what you feel like engaging them, have a sense of decorum and don't insult. When you insult a Muslim, you make it more difficult for sincere gospel preachers to reach them. Your insult will cause them to become more hostile to Christianity.

Yes preaching to a Muslim can be very challenging sometimes, but as you get familiar with them, you get an increase in knowledge on how to relate with them more.

I really understand where you are coming from and Christians should always show love to others, doing exactly as Jesus Christ would.

One of the things that should separate Christianity from any other religion is love, unfortunately, most Christians don't even love other Christians (except some of their church members) not to talk of unbelievers.

You're right though OP, corrections should be made out of love and not condemning to win arguments. I don't even like religious arguments with unbelievers because it limits Christianity. You have to ignore the element of faith and start trying to logically prove God, which is impossible because God is a Spirit. Just preaching the word of God is better.

Muslims have always been hostile to both Jews and Christians and there is nothing anyone can do about that.

To effectively preach to Muslims, you have to know what they believe. From infancy every Muslim is inoculated against the Gospel of Salvation through Christ.
1. They teach that the Christian and the Jews have corrupted their religion BUT Islam is the corrections to the corruption
2. They teach that Christians and Jews have corrupted their scriptures BUT the Qur'an is perfectly preserved exact word of Allah
3. They teach that Jesus did not die on the Cross (of course no resurrection) and salvation does not require any from of atonement BUT observance of the five pillars of Islam and good works.
4. They teach that Christians and Jews are polytheistic BUT Islam is the only pure monotheistic religion in the world. They manufactured three god's for the Christians by deliberately misrepresenting the Trinity

For Muslims themselves,
1. They abhor questioning the Qur'an (even when it contains errors and fallacies): Allah knows best
2. They feel that God will respect them for their zeal for Islam


With these above, it takes pure grace for a Muslim to come to Christ.

So, how can Christians preach to Muslims
1. By EXPLAINING the Gospel of Christ to them
2. By EXPLAINING and ANSWERING their Questions about the doctrine of Christ to them
3. By FORCING them to question their Quran, Scholars and Islam.
4. By PRAYING for them to encounter Christ by themselves.

The worst thing Christians can do is
1. Give in into Islamic blackmails and Threats.
2. Keeping quiet and being economical with the truth of the Gospel
3. Assuming that Allah and Jehovah are the same person.


Islam thrives on ignorance mixed with deceptions. Their Scholars actively decieve Muslims Just as they try to deceive others especially Christians

I could relate to d brief rundown, we are more alike than u knw but somewhat different, since we both presently stand on separate side of d spiritual fence, hence; our journey continues but on separate paths. At 9, d christians' world engulfed me, thou was originally born a muslim. Then, christianity conversion happened, what does a 9yr old know if not only to ask questions, and getting tagged along with d christian business. At 25, after d whole essence of d christianity doctrines started to dawn on me. Then i sanked deeper, and just one day i stopped going to church, or listening to anything doctrinal related as such. For d next 10yrs, I was in d phase i called "existensial limbo".B4 returng to my predestined... No one ever asked why king Solomon; despite his gift of infinite wisdom, still showed compassion n accepted people for what they are and truly believed in. 4get abt what quantified him, love was more evolved to him than war.
