Qwerty7654: Hi I think your friend will be good to go for a Business Management program. He possible focus (Future Goals/Career Prospects) on her SOP should be centered around her makeup business expansion in her home country. See the link below for Business Management PG. Cert programs and Colleges offering it https://www.nairaland.com/6957495/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/230#111060488 She can Google for more Business Management PG Programs at Canadian Colleges Since your friend will be going for a Program (Business Management) not related to her degree (Biochemistry), but related to her work experience (makeup business), she should go through the contents in the link below https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/414#95068409 Canadian Résumé Style & Cover Letter for Admission into a College for a PG. Cert Program (Find attached) https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/50#89629360 Potential Documents needed to apply for admission in a College for PG. Hello everyone, I’m new to this forum. I applied for student visa mid March and i did my biometry on the 28th of March, I didn’t hear anything nor received any mail from them until today and when I checked, i saw a medical request from the IRCC. Just want to confirm if that is such a positive result and a step forward. As i said earlier I’m really new to this and don’t know much so I’ll appreciate your kind reply, thanks. 5 Likes |

Ketima: Thanks @Ketima I got the response I needed from the link you sent, which says " You may be eligible for an open work permit if you....are the spouse or common-law partner of a skilled worker or international student ", which I simply believe a STUDY VISA/PERMIT ought to be approved first for your partner, before you can proceed to apply for SOWP, that is if the application for both was done together at the beginning. Thanks. |

MOwasola58: Really, if your NYSC work experience is nothing related to your prior education and Nursing, it may be difficult to convince the VO as regards both academic and career progressions. If you have not really practised Physiology, why switch to Nursing at Diploma level? I think the best option for you is to go for PGD in Physiology or related courses. This will serve as academic progression. |

Qwerty7654: Lekiboboe: Correct. You should focus on Business Management because you are already a professional in what you do. You only need the knowledge of Business Administration or Management for expansion and profitability. 1 Like |

Yes, I uploaded documents. I went to the selected bank, they told me to wait until CBN send me approval email and then I can come to them. I got email from CBN following day that they have initiated my process and they have put my application on queue. How long does this queue ends? It's been 4 days now.... DaSugarBoi: |

Rach90: You can send your passport to any Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC). You just need to send to that of the UK office an e-mail to understand their requirements for you to send across your passport. My parents had the same issue when they were in the United States and I had to support them to process theirs through Los Angeles. They have their own style which is different from that of Lagos and Abuja. You just need to find out that of UK. All the best! 4 Likes |
