ImOptional:
I was denied initially based on financial situation,

What I did, I submitted the same application with an improved statement of account but I waited 6months to improve my statement of account, which was done by a colleague

How did I do it, I ask him to be paying into my account 500k monthly and I’ll be transferring back 120k, so it looks like there is an inflow and outflow in my account so it won’t look suspicious like I was building the account for the visa reapplication, at the end I applied again and I was approved, then refunded my colleague his total remaining balance, I don’t know if I should be putting this out here because some VOs might have people monitoring Nairaland traveling section cheesy
noting spoil, this VO are humans, the will think if you have a friend that can send you 500k(1400Cad) for six months consecutively, then you stand to get that same amount if you run out of cash in Canada.

Hello gurus in the house

A friend of mine studied biochemistry and she graduated in 2018.

However, she is a make-up artist and she has been working as a make-up artist since she graduated university. Her make up business is also registered and she makes good income.

She wants to go for a post graduate course that relates to her make up business. Will the visa officer see the PG course related to make-up as a career progression?
If so, Please what schools can she apply to in Canada for a make-up/cosmetics related courses.

Hi

I think your friend will be good to go for a Business Management program.

He possible focus (Future Goals/Career Prospects) on her SOP should be centered around her makeup business expansion in her home country.

See the link below for

She can Google for more Business Management PG Programs at Canadian Colleges

Since your friend will be going for a Program (Business Management) not related to her degree (Biochemistry), but related to her work experience (makeup business), she should go through the contents in the link below

Please, how long does it take CBN to approve Form A so that you can go to the bank of your choice and pay?

I filled the form since 4 days ago and haven't heard anything from CBN....

Have you uploaded the required document? if yes, go to the selected bank branch and inform them. It will be approved and placed on queue for disbursement.

Hello everyone, I’m new to this forum. I applied for student visa mid March and i did my biometry on the 28th of March, I didn’t hear anything nor received any mail from them until today and when I checked, i saw a medical request from the IRCC. Just want to confirm if that is such a positive result and a step forward. As i said earlier I’m really new to this and don’t know much so I’ll appreciate your kind reply, thanks.

Hello,

For your better understanding to your question, you may need to read up from the link https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=177&top=17

All the best

Thanks @Ketima

I got the response I needed from the link you sent, which says " You may be eligible for an open work permit if you....are the spouse or common-law partner of a skilled worker or international student ", which I simply believe a STUDY VISA/PERMIT ought to be approved first for your partner, before you can proceed to apply for SOWP, that is if the application for both was done together at the beginning.

Thanks.

Really, if your NYSC work experience is nothing related to your prior education and Nursing, it may be difficult to convince the VO as regards both academic and career progressions.

If you have not really practised Physiology, why switch to Nursing at Diploma level? I think the best option for you is to go for PGD in Physiology or related courses. This will serve as academic progression.

Correct.

You should focus on Business Management because you are already a professional in what you do. You only need the knowledge of Business Administration or Management for expansion and profitability.

Yes, I uploaded documents. I went to the selected bank, they told me to wait until CBN send me approval email and then I can come to them.

I got email from CBN following day that they have initiated my process and they have put my application on queue.

How long does this queue ends? It's been 4 days now....

Hello everyone, If someone travels to the UK for vacation and while on vacation, gets PPR. How will the passport be sent for stamping?

You can send your passport to any Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC). You just need to send to that of the UK office an e-mail to understand their requirements for you to send across your passport. My parents had the same issue when they were in the United States and I had to support them to process theirs through Los Angeles. They have their own style which is different from that of Lagos and Abuja. You just need to find out that of UK.

All the best!

The secret is to disturb them. Make unpleasant comments on social media especially on Twitter about their service and how they are about to jeopardize your future ambition as there is a deadline for the payment: after unrelenting tries, they'll reach out to you either through phone call or by DM: they must answer.

Amidst "no FX from the CBN," they are still disbursing to some few who can disturb or have a kind of influence.

Thank so much boss once again...na u ginger me to message and disturb these people o (Jaiz bank)

I messaged them on Facebook, twitter and Instagram with long story

I also called their customer support and my application was updated to ADB_DISBURSEMENT_REVIEWER within 24hours (yesterday)

My account got debited this afternoon

Their rate is 417/usd

Time frame: 15 days

Hello Qwerty,

As regards the bolded, item one is yes. All she need is well detailed and explanatory purpose of visit in the SOP, aligned to her job and what she stands to gain from acquiring such degree.

For item 2, she may need to do the research by herself or wait for a guru with detailed list of such course and school offering them.

All the best

Thanks for your response
