I really need your opinion on this.
I was refused last month, I ordered my GCMS notes and it was said that my funds was insufficient and rightly so, it was.

Now my sponsor(father) sold a property and he's gonna receive a lump sum of 12 million Naira in his account. He has about 8.5 million Naira now plus the lumpsum it's going to be 20.5 million naira.

I have all the documents to show evidence of the sale, I'd also be adding pictures of the property that was sold. My sponsor is going to write a letter of explanation addressing this lumpsum, how the money came about and the details involving the sale of the property.
He also has a regular source of income, he earns 560,000 in a month. And he's also allowed to collect 25 percent of his pension funds which would be close to 3m

Tuition Fee is 17,000 Cad a year.
First semester tuition has already been paid. Sponsor (Father)is also going to write in the letter of sponsorship that once my study permit has been granted, he'd make the payment of my tuition balance. He doesn't want to pay the tuition balance until the study permit has been granted.

I'd like to know if I can proceed with submitting my application.

Are they in anyway related and Is it good enough for study/career progression if write in my SOP that I intend to start my own business or I should reapply for International Business Management.

For 3 years your tuition would amount to $51,000cad.
($17,000cad × 3years).
For your upkeep for 3 years you will need to show $30,000cad.
($10,000cad × 3years).
Other miscellaneous expenses like travelling to Nigeria for 3 years will amount to about $6000cad , it could be more or less but let's stick with $6000cad .
Adding all together;
$51,000cad + $30 ,000cad + $6000cad = $87,000 cad.
You will need to be able to show that you have over $87,000cad available for your study. So if you convert $87,000cad to Naira you should have an idea of how much you need to show to prove to the Visa officer that your sponsor is financially capable of taking care of your studies in Canada.
Converting Canadian dollar to Naira based on $1cad = 321Naira. You will need to show a bank account with over 28,000,000 Naira. And also note that you should be able to convince the visa officer that your sponsor will be willing to provide you with that money for the 3 years of your study.

So guys, here is my timeline.

This journey started in 2020 when I applied to University of New Brunswick, but I wasn't admitted. I wasn't really serious about it then because business was going on fine, that's why I applied to UNB alone.

Around April 2021, when dollar issues hit our business so hard, I lost a lot of money and it started to look like the journey will never be possible again. I discuss with my siblings and we knew it's time to make move and leave this country, because exchange rate means a lot in our Importation business. I decided to prioritize this Canada journey and started making a lot of research and reading on nairaland.

First of all, I decided to apply to schools supported by Mpower, because 7 figures monthly income has dropped by almost 60%. I contacted many potential supervisors and one from University of Victoria fixed a date for interview. She accepted to be my supervisor and I applied around October 2021. I also applied to University of Manitoba. By February 2022, when I didn't hear from Uvic and Manitoba I quickly applied to Fanshawe, Conestoga and NSCC.

March 2022, admissions started rolling in:
University of Victoria - Accepted
University of Manitoba - Rejected
Fanshawe College - Accepted
Conestoga College - Accepted
NSCC - Accepted

I opted for University of Victoria because I have a supervisor, no tuition deposit required and it is a Master's Program. I didn't submit my visa application for about 2 months because I was waiting for funding letter. During this period, I started gathering documents and writing my SOP. When everything was set I contacted Makano to review my SOP. He gave me a thumbs up, but emphasize on writing it as formal letter and did some editing, removing the sub-headings, turning it into paragraphs. I respect him so much for being calm. He sent voice notes to me to explain why he did some things and assured me it's the best. "I have been doing it like that and I've been getting positive results with my clients". Yes, there is a lot of prospect with Business Analytics.
Remember there is a difference between Business Analytics and Business Analysis...just so that you dont use both words interchangeable in your SOP.

The aim of business analytics is data and reporting—examining past business performance and forecasting future business performance. On the other hand, the business analysis focuses on functions and processes— determining business requirements and suggesting solutions.
