It is a deliberate delay and many have advised prospective applicants to look elsewhere. South Africa is no longer a safe haven for pseudo-study-economic immigrants.

Good day everyone. I have been trying to reach out to SA Abuja embassy in the past days through the number I got on this forum. However, guyz at their reception have been the one picking my calls and promised to forward it to the consular but that has always been the end of the conversation as nobody will pick it from the consular end. I would like to know if anybody has talked to them at the consular section. Thank you.

They still issue...if it's for tourism or business just go for e visa...it's stress free..And at the port of entry your biometric will be taken.

Yes I guess these people has internal problem with there Department of Home Affairs...They also have problem with issuing of permits as well...
Mine took almost 2 months...5 days less..
But I'm in South Africa presently.
