Hello everyone ...am new here, am a B.tech holder with 2:1 in Science laboratory Technology...I graduated in year 2015 and since then have been working as a Research assistant till date...can I divert my career into a Research course and am I to apply for a msc or diploma and also give me ideas of schools/colleges I can apply to with low tuition.
Thanks everyone

What area of research have you been working on, you can start cold emailing professors with same research interest attaching your academic CV with your research experience clearly highlighted. If you get a supervisor willing to take you in, you apply for MSc in the dept.

Please for peace of mind, do not compare your application with others, just pray and face what you are doing presently, no amount of worrying will help, you can also encourage your self with testimonies here. All the best.

Hello everyone. Trust we are all doing great. Please your assistance is needed on this issue. I submitted a family application (myself, spouse and son) and we did upfront medicals after submission and have since uploaded our e-medical sheets via webform n emails. However, this morning I received a mail requiring my spouse and son to do a medical examination while my own status says medical exams received and being processed. I have immediately resent their(spouse and son) medical sheets via webform again and sent via mail as well to Nairobi and I copied London, Lagos and abuja. Please am I on the right track or is there something else I need to do asides all that?. Bikko help me out. Thanks in advance.

Toceen2022:

So guys, here is my timeline.

This journey started in 2020 when I applied to University of New Brunswick, but I wasn't admitted. I wasn't really serious about it then because business was going on fine, that's why I applied to UNB alone.

Around April 2021, when dollar issues hit our business so hard, I lost a lot of money and it started to look like the journey will never be possible again. I discuss with my siblings and we knew it's time to make move and leave this country, because exchange rate means a lot in our Importation business. I decided to prioritize this Canada journey and started making a lot of research and reading on nairaland.

First of all, I decided to apply to schools supported by Mpower, because 7 figures monthly income has dropped by almost 60%. I contacted many potential supervisors and one from University of Victoria fixed a date for interview. She accepted to be my supervisor and I applied around October 2021. I also applied to University of Manitoba. By February 2022, when I didn't hear from Uvic and Manitoba I quickly applied to Fanshawe, Conestoga and NSCC.

March 2022, admissions started rolling in:
University of Victoria - Accepted
University of Manitoba - Rejected
Fanshawe College - Accepted
Conestoga College - Accepted
NSCC - Accepted

I opted for University of Victoria because I have a supervisor, no tuition deposit required and it is a Master's Program. I didn't submit my visa application for about 2 months because I was waiting for funding letter. During this period, I started gathering documents and writing my SOP. When everything was set I contacted Makano to review my SOP. He gave me a thumbs up, but emphasize on writing it as formal letter and did some editing, removing the sub-headings, turning it into paragraphs. I respect him so much for being calm. He sent voice notes to me to explain why he did some things and assured me it's the best. "I have been doing it like that and I've been getting positive results with my clients". That was actually his words. Thank you Makano, I respect you Bro

International Graduate Streams are a pathway to securing a PNP. In some provinces, they have a separate program for graduates of master's and PhD i.e Ontario Masters Graduate Stream etc. In some others, they give a graduate of any post secondary education (Dip, AdvDip, AS. BS) opportunities to apply to their International Graduate Stream i.e Newfoundland and Labrador International Graduate Stream, British Columbia International Graduate Stream etc.;while some only allow graduates of post graduate studies (PGD/PGC, Masters, PhD) i.e BC International Post-Graduate Stream.

You need to research additional conditions attached. Some provinces require a job offer in addition while some don't.

Thank you for your response
