sirrotex: Divide what u get into 2, that's what u get now den u get another one by june It's divided by 2 ooo. It's bi-annual payment on two instalmental payment. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by sirrotex: 5:15pm On Jun 17, 2022 |
Yes I know it's Bi-annual. Let's assume I invested 1m in December 2021 at 13%. I am supposed to get 130k per annum and this 130k is to be paid twice a year,i.e June and December. However what I received today is N 26,450 as opposed to 65k thus my confusion. Anyone here experienced this before or anyone with an explanation? |

sirrotex: I think you got paid for a previous Sukuk you must have invested in, check well. The 13% December 2021 Sukuk coupon is being paid 29/30 June. Regards. 3 Likes |

I have only one Sukuk investment which is that of December 2021. I also subscribed to the FGN Savings Bond of March 2022. Could it be a payment for the FGN Savings Bond of March? |

It's very likely to be for the FGN Savings Bond. Payment is to be 4times in the year. sirrotex: 1 Like |

sirrotex: This Sukuk bond issue is becoming very confusing to me. I equally bought the bond in December 2021 but I have not received any coupon payment. Please what can I do? Or should I still exercise a little more patience? |

I see. Let's keep fingers crossed Frangel: |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by freeman67: 7:44pm On Jun 17, 2022 |
Nero4306: Sukuk 4 should land on the 29/30th of June. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by freeman67: 7:54pm On Jun 17, 2022 |
keeper303: Please always note the issue date on your allocation confirmation notice... Sukuk 4 was issued on the 29th of December 2021. So the 1st rental payment should be by 29th-30th of June. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by mymadam(m): 11:25pm On Jun 17, 2022 |
sirrotex: I believe it is. It dropped today June 17. For NGN10m, approximately NGN260,000+ dropped. So you probably subscribed for 3 years (from March 2022) with NGN1m #my2kobo |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by bfn1: 11:51pm On Jun 17, 2022 |
sirrotex:Yes. I strongly believe the payment you received is for the FGN Savings Bond of March 2022. |

Kindly find below the result of the FGN bond auction referred to below. You will see that the longer the duration to maturity the higher the reopening stop rates. The stop rates are also reflective of yields obtainable for the existing bonds (same maturity) in the secondary market. This is also why the stop rate on the 2042 surpassed its coupon of 13% by 15 basis points. creategist: 2 Likes 1 Share

The 2025 bond quoted at 13.35% ended up at 10.1% which currently looks like a fair deal taking into account some mutual funds pays 1.5% to 4.5% as it please them. Best deal is still solid investment than these terrible inflation liquidating crap. skydiver01: |

If I were you, I would put like 30 percent of that in immediately in USD another 30 percent in medium interest rate fixed income like FGN Bonds, then the remaining 40 percent in MMF while sourcing for cheap dollar, there are ways to currently buy dollar at N430/N500/510/N550 etc but e no easy .
