Pls I need someone’s help! I made an error on my application form so I cancelled and reapplied. My issue now is my dependents application form has the gw number of the cancelled form. What do I do? Will a cover letter suffice? It’s been a very long day battling application online. Such a hectic process. I’m almost in tears alone for the money spent. I hope I get a refund asap

If you apply and pay for your visa without your 28days minimum count you are setting yourself for a refusal or an NSF requesting for an up to date (not repeated printout) statement.

I have been following this thread for like forever, I finally decided to apply to tree side university even though someone said it was a bad idea. I got the admission and was told to make deposit. Is it possible to show just pof without making the initial deposit to accept the admission.

Dependant application as wifey(MA) already traveled since Feb
Sent paid email 7th of June and laid email response 8th of June that a decision have been taken,that first of all calm my nerves
NOTE: I started my POF 14th march and printed it on the 35th day due to some of my documents that was being delayed which actually increased the the credibility of the account as said by a professional
15th June collection mail
17th collected my passport
You need to me searching for visa vignette stamp

Things I found out on this application
I sent paid email and my visa was approved same day I sent paid email 7th june even after doing biometric 27th April
Another thing that made me scared was in 2007 I was refused uk student visa(kindly note it was not on misinformation nor deception) but I totally forgot to include it in my application ,that got me so scared as someone here have said she was ban for 10yrs for not declaring previous denial but after asking someone they said ECO might just frown at it that's where God's favor comes

Guys pls from my story I did my biometric 27th Apr and visa issue date is 7 June,so. Pls always try and leave funds no matter how long your application is taking

If you are coming in into the UK, especially as a student or a dependent, you need to get these ASAP in your first days of entering to give you some sort of soft landing

BRP
NIN (National Insurance Number)
Bank Account
Proof of Address (Accommodation)

These four above will ease your life greatly in your first few days / weeks. Meanwhile, getting no.4 is not for the faint hearted especially for a family.


1. BRP is already waiting for you in your chosen location (post office or school)

2. NI you apply online via the almighty gov . uk site with your BRP n other docs (it takes weeks 1-16 max to be issued the number and very easy steps to navigate)

3. Bank account : thank God for online banks, those old generation banks (HSBC,Lloyds, RBS etc) will ask you to bring your ancestral land allocation form from God
Nevertheless, you still need them big time in your journey of life in d UK.

Open rent (you interact with property owners directly but beware of scammers fronting as landlords)
Facebook market etc (beware of scammers)
Word of mouth
Friends and family connect

You can get your accommodation sorted right while still in 9ja. I know some who did thru a known agent.
Meanwhile, You might need the following if eventually you get a letting agent or a landlord who is ready to rent a property to you.
- a UK based guarantor (a citizen or homeowner or both)
- a deposit fee (just like refundable caution fee for 9ja)
- an holding fee (to get the property off market; refundable)
- a month rent

NOTE If these sites don’t give you what you want, then have your minimum of 6 months rent ready
