Congrats. May the land of Canada favour u. Mine is next in Jesus name. Ekesbaba1: My people!!!
Thank you to everyone on this platform for the assistance so far.
After being scammed by an agent of 5500 CAD in April 2021, I decided to apply by self. Submitted April 1st.. Biometrics April 8th..(Abuja) Biometrics Updated 9th.. Traveled to Dubai for honeymoon May 16th.. Got a request for medicals June 1st. Did the medicals June 8th here in Dubai for 795 aed..(E really pain me oo) Medicals passed and updated 13th June.. PPR June 17th, just 4 days later..
I'm still surprised ooo. In all, I give all the glory to God!!! I prayed for grace and He answered me.. I resigned from my bank job in June 2021 after the scam with high hopes, got fired from my other remote jobs by August, Got depressed and couldn't travel home that year. But my guy came through for me, inspired me that the hustle just started and introduced me to church(Dominion City), I became focused on God, got some of my remote jobs back, got my self confidence back, married in March, apply study permit April, Go honey moon for Dubai May, PPR June.
This is my testimony!!! God really works, if we can be faithful and keep our side of the agreement. More Good new loading as I will continue to be faithful by the enablement of the holy spirit.
He will visit everyone here according to our needs in Jesus name!!!

Hello Gokkyshow There is no special way or special sample letter to explain lump sum.. Just be transparent with the Visa officer of the source of the said lump sum, the date of the lump sum(you will eed to make reference to your SOA) and also the purpose of the said lump sum.... If you know you do not have a tangible or convincing explanation, then do a Deed gift.. A Lawyer will help you with the procedure of getting a Deed gift.. Peace Gokkyshow: @Lekkiboboe @makano @frankrobbn @destinationcanada @Anon123 and gurus in the house

You just nailed it dear! Toceen2022:
Lemme tell you a straight fact... There's nothing like looking at this thing in another angle. No matter how long someone has been on this thread, it's certain that the person joined one day. So imagine when him/her Joined, and started asking questions, no one answered, please tell me, will the person still be here? Absolutely not! They may end up paying agents huge amount of money, because this platform is the only reliable DIY you can ever see. Even agents always hang around for information/knowledge.
This platform has been in existence for over a decade (based on the other threads I've checked out). And it continues to be because many people keep giving information based on new developments. If it was to stopped in thread 10 or 11, we will only be available with outdated information... Providing timelines keep this thread going with latest updates and informations.
If I asked a question here and I get answers within few hours or a day, then I'm expected to also provide my timeline within few hours or a day after my PPR. Anything outside that shows I'm pathetically ungrateful, and this applies to anyone who is on this thread. 2 Likes |

Congrats once again Toceen.. I also respect you for being simple enough to obey my instructions as regards your SOP... No argument, no issues.. All thanks to God, it has finally ended in praise... Canada can't wait for your breakthrough.. Safe Journey to Marple Land.... Peace Toceen2022:
So guys, here is my timeline.
This journey started in 2020 when I applied to University of New Brunswick, but I wasn't admitted. I wasn't really serious about it then because business was going on fine, that's why I applied to UNB alone.
Around April 2021, when dollar issues hit our business so hard, I lost a lot of money and it started to look like the journey will never be possible again. I discuss with my siblings and we knew it's time to make move and leave this country, because exchange rate means a lot in our Importation business. I decided to prioritize this Canada journey and started making a lot of research and reading on nairaland.
First of all, I decided to apply to schools supported by Mpower, because 7 figures monthly income has dropped by almost 60%. I contacted many potential supervisors and one from University of Victoria fixed a date for interview. She accepted to be my supervisor and I applied around October 2021. I also applied to University of Manitoba. By February 2022, when I didn't hear from Uvic and Manitoba I quickly applied to Fanshawe, Conestoga and NSCC.
March 2022, admissions started rolling in: University of Victoria - Accepted University of Manitoba - Rejected Fanshawe College - Accepted Conestoga College - Accepted NSCC - Accepted
I opted for University of Victoria because I have a supervisor, no tuition deposit required and it is a Master's Program. I didn't submit my visa application for about 2 months because I was waiting for funding letter. During this period, I started gathering documents and writing my SOP. When everything was set I contacted Makano to review my SOP. He gave me a thumbs up, but emphasize on writing it as formal letter and did some editing, removing the sub-headings, turning it into paragraphs. I respect him so much for being calm. He sent voice notes to me to explain why he did some things and assured me it's the best. "I have been doing it like that and I've been getting positive results with my clients". That was actually his words. Thank you Makano, I respect you Bro

While the 30% will go into Mpower repayment plan and 40% for my wife and kid. I also emphasized that she has her own personal business in addition with the 40%.
I mentioned the worths of all landed properties but I didn't add any valuation report. It's just crazily expensive when I was charged 10% of the value. Na so I leave am o.
I just have to give thanks to Jehovah God, he answered my silent prayers and to everyone here, I saw thank you. Lekiboboe, Makano, Ketima, CentennialGuy and others, you guys always answer my questions, I thank you so much.
Please, let's keep this thread going so that others can benefit too. We can only do this if we keep dropping timelines and documents submitted with essential details. I respect those who have left Naija and still contribute to help others without minding the stress of work and study overthere, especially Lekiboboe. May God Almighty continue to bless every step of yours.
Thank you all for the "congratulations", may God answer everyone at the right time.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Abby212: 3:20pm On Jun 18, 2022 |
Wonderful idea. Thanks Ketima:
Hello Abby12,
Ironically all applicants including me when applying to go alone without family always fill that spouse isn't accompanying in the IMM form. But then, I leveraged on the fact that;
1). Is approaching a year since I got my Study visa and one of the reasons I stated that why I haven't gone is I have never stayed away from my spouse for more than a month and would love her to atleast accompany me to settle then return back to Nigeria.
Note: even though it was an open work permit, I didn't mention about work. It was all about accompanying me to settle, the need to accompany me while I settle. When I mentioned companies where she can work, I didn't per say mentioned it like she is going to work there to earn pay, I aligned it to her gaining research experience (she is currently doing her PhD research) from the renowned companies based in province we are going to and also to use the knowledge gained from the companies to develop our family biz back home when she returns. Then God's grace did the rest.
So every application is unique. So let's learn use the uniqueness of our situations to our advantages.
That's my little advice. |
