Early this morning along Onitsha Expressway in Anambra State, 18th June, 2022.

Security Extortions in Southeast.

A Naval Rating intentionally Shot a truck tire in an Argument based on Extortion in there Checkpoints which the tipper driver did not correspond with.

At of Anger for not paying the 500Naira normal dues before pass, the Naval Rating decided to shot the Truck Tire which leads to Roadblock this morning along Onitsha Expressway towards Niger bridge.
Vehicles coming from Asaba was stocked in the holdup for almost 3hours this morning.

Tipper drivers decided to block all the Routes in other to protest for there Colleague that his truck was shot.

Witness said:: Every Tipper or trucks that pass the Naval checkpoints in Onitsha must pay a Sum of Five hundred Naira only, 500 Before he will be allowed to pass the check point everyday.

Today, luck ran out for them which resulted to a small Crises this morning in Onitsha.


I call on Anambra state Government to look into these in other to Exits all Checkpoints in Southeast which the security operatives use for Extortions, Especially the Nigerian police force.
