Hello please I have another question that needs clarification. So I applied for a Visit Visa last year Nov(Biometrics done),application still shows processing till now. I’m going to apply for a study visa now. Does it affect each other? Do I have to cancel the visit visa? Also as ties to home I added my conditional letter of admission to masters program I was supposed to start last year(masters in international relations). I didn’t go for it again and just faced my business. Do I need to explain this in my SOP or the two applications don’t overlap. I’m scared they might check my visit visa pending application to make sure the informations correlate. I need your input please. Gurus in the house. |

Ableman101:Hi Chief, I don't know the difference, I think you should await a response from those who used the New portal to apply for their Study Visa Application. Am only familiar with the interface of the old portal Regards |

KRTL: Please note that, medicals for everyone is different. You and your family could go for medicals and some eill be passed immediately and yours still waiting. Many reasons such as further assessment of your medical report or just that there are many applicanta they are attending too. So keep sending your medical E-slip to them. They should update it soon. |

thank you all for your compassion I got my admission in January, we made the first tuition deposit in February, took about 2 months to gather documents for the visa process. I submitted my application on May 14, 2022. Biometrics was done 23 May, 2022, updated same day. I had an upfront medical exam on 16 April 2022 Medicals was updated on 16 May 2022 I got my refusal letter, 17 June 2022. Reason: insufficient financial funds for me and accompanying family member (my mom) I might apply again, so i thought to use the GIC as proof of funds with CIBC. Is this advisable? Does anyone know how the process works? i feel i still have time to apply and also get my visa before school resumption in the fall. Thank you |

Ableman101: The old portal is the GCKey own. The new portal you will fill all the forms online in the portal unlike the old portal that you’ll have to download the IMM5257 forms, fill and upload. 1 Like |

Fardowsa: GIC or no GIC, apply to get GCMS notes and pinpoint the VOs concerns. The solution might not be in getting a GIC. You need to map out a good strategy in tackling the exact reason instead of going by trial and error method. |

Good evening house, Please on the average, how many pages should an SOP be. I feel my pages are much. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by kweje: 9:22pm On Jun 19, 2022 |
Fardowsa:Dear Fardowsa, So sorry about it. To enable the house give you more helpful tips, you may need to share more about the proof of funds you submitted and documents used to support it. Who is your sponsor and stuff like that. Was it same account used to fund your study and the mum’s VV? Like others have stated, the GCMS notes will strategize better. Defer your admission if you can. Please be encouraged, it will turn out well. All the best. |
