If I have heard the US sitting ducks engaging? The question should have been; "Have you heard of enemy assets engaging the so called US sitting ducks"? These are "sitting ducks" that sail on waters far from the US causing countries like China to wail and shout (if for example the US sitting duck sail through the Taiwan strait). China ought to engage the US sitting ducks.

Moreover, your question shows your lack of knowledge on aircraft carriers. The primary purpose of an aircraft carrier is not to engage! They serve as forward bases. They act as mobile military bases on sea. For example, in the event of war between China and the US, considering that the US is far from China, they will be needed to provide a platform from which fighter jets can take off to attack China from the sea and unlike land military bases that China can easily attack, aircraft carriers can be difficult to detect in open sea. They are mobile and since US aircraft carriers are all nuclear powered, they have greater speed and can manoeuvre at sea for weeks without the need for refueling.

He's right you can't compare it to US made aircraft carriers. Operating a carrier is not only about the system, you'll also need an effective doctrine and personnel effectiveness which the US carriers operation far exceeded that of China. This is a lesson the US has learnt in sweet and blood over 70 decades.
