How long does it take before you can apply for your partner to join you while studying

You can file for your spouse to join you in Canada Immediately you land in Canada and have obtained your study permit, SIN and confirmation of enrolment from the school.

Good day all and glad to be here.
Please can I apply for an MSW to a Canadian university after being refused a US student visa in May ,2022( based on not being able to convince the VO of return after Masters studies) and in June 2022 (based on wrong appointment schedule)?
Please your knowledge and experience will be highly appreciated.
Thank you

Can one apply for a fiancée after landing. Even though there’s no marriage ties yet?

a friend in Canada told me not to submit a web form until the processing time is complete and you don’t have a response. He said it will make you look desperate and the visa officer might deny it.
Guys please I need help with family application.
Who has applied recently on the new portal?
I want to apply for a VV for my spouse and not SOWP.

To apply for my spouse, I added a new application by clicking the plus sign on the application main page.
Please, Is that the right way?

To my surprise, there's no option of I want to accompany my spouse.
The one closer to my answer is I want to visit my spouse who is an international student. Pls is this right too?

Then, it goes on to ask for the address of the spouse who is an international student. I am also just applying and I have no address in Canada yet. Should I just use my Institution address?

Lastly, where it asks for national Identity, document number, and date of issue, can I use voters card or international passport instead of NIN because the NIN does not have a date of issue.

Thank you in advance for your help.

The New portal cannot allow you do that. You would have to use the old portal( Gckey) for your family application.

You have to pay VFS the transmission fee for each of the kids. Iam assuming they are below 14 years , so biometrics were not necessary.
Good day House.
This platform has been very helpful towards my study abroad process.
I just recently secured Masters admission at the University of Windsor for Winter 2023.
Please is there any platform for students going to Ontario or Windsor specifically. I would like to be added to the group WhatsApp 08099022012.

Congratulations. My Fellow Lancer.
Waiting for my study permit approval. 4 weeks and counting

If my intention is to cancel an application on GC Key, does that mean I would have to revoke the GC Key and register again on GC Key to apply for new application?

Sat Gurus @Frankrobbn1 @Justwise, Can we tarry a little bit with the closure? Some of us have resolved to share our PPR testimonies on this Part 21 thread.

Frankrobbn1:
@Justwise, I think it's time we progesss onto the next phase of the thread. The Canadian visa thread part 21 is already exhausted given the number of pages. Kindly look into this as soon as possible. Thank you!

In the same vein, I want to use this medium to specially appreciate the young minds putting in their effort to make this thread a productive one. All I can say is way to go guys! Do keep up with the good works and may the Lord grant everyone their heart desires. Amen.

PS: I'll be returning back soon with a great deal of worldly experience and knowledge of the Canadian immigration procedures and system. I wish to continue on the path of making an impact and difference in the lives of others.

As always, It will end in praise!

Hello All, a huge pleasure being on here. Read through some of the contents on here but most of it addressed those applying for post graduate studies.
Please I wish to apply to MUN (Memorial University of Newfoundland) for an undergraduate degree in Computer Science(IT systems), please I really need all help I can get. My dad is my sponsor. Note - I'm 25 years of age. Had some health issues and couldn't get through with my current degree program.
Question 1- Would my age affect my application as my high school cert. was issued 2014?
Q2- Which would be more recommended a college or a uni?
Q. 3- What documents would I require and processes if any? (I am traveling alone)
Would like to get the upfront medicals, need help on how to proceed
Please I would appreciate every help I can get on here, thanks in advance...

Please, can someone help me out with this.

Visa Officer cannot deny your visa because you submitted a webform.

The content and attachment of the webforms will state the reason why you are contacting them.

Your application may be delayed only if you provided additional information or documents that could greatly impact the outcome of your application. Even if they have made a decision, they could hold on to consider the new documents or information you have just shared: hence this could cause delay but not denial.

If a conference is two weeks away and your processing time has reached the stipulated normal time and you are not getting any response, it is natural that you contact them because of time.

1. Your age would not lower your chances.
2. Either a college or university is good, your study is what you should focus on.
3. You need to seek admission first, after admission and honouring the terms and conditions therein, you can proceed to visa application. Documents needed for visa application include but are not limited to POF documents, passport bio-data page, birth certificate, SOP, LOA, tuition deposit/fee if any etc.

In conclusion, everything depends on how you package your application and address all the factors that determine visa decision outcome (Home Ties, Purpose of Visit, Academic/Career Progression, Financial and Personal Assets etc)

The US study visa refusal does not prevent you from applying to Canada. Just ensure you tell the truth and package your application well.
