Hello sisterfire

Is there a rule to follow while meditating?
Last night, my meditation had a twist, it was not like the first ,
This time, I struggled, and this is why


While I reduced my breathing ,
I entered a state, in that state I didn't feel the need to breathe ,
But something I think my brain kept pulling me back with the idea I need to breathe or I will die, but within me I had no need for breathing..

This didn't allow me to pass through that state
And I got consciousness of my surrounding as again and started breathing. But my lung didn't gasp for air like my brain was telling me in that state..

Are there rules to meditating.?

Like sitting position?
Breathing routine and all
If my consciousness leaves my body during meditation (that was what I felt yesterday, like I was leaving or dieing cos my brain was telling me I'm not breathing, but I actually didn't need to breathe in the state i was, so I started breathing so I don't die but lost the state i was in meditation,) will my consciousness comeback??

I think our brain capacity is limited and locked with fear,
From these experiences I am witnessing.

The less fear you have, the more power your brains posses,
Fear of the unknown

Yesterday on my way out in the morning,
I had a flash image ,

It's was the image of an old indian man sitting on the clouds both legs folded like he was meditating

He had grey long moustache and wore those indian turban cap, red or peach. Color cannot tell

Here is the thing

At his fore head, where the cap covered there were 3 or. 2 eyes vertically .. the eyes where open but his main eyes where close..


The image flashed while I was walking.
I hope to see him again

I just read the Animal farm book.
It's an expository book.

According to my level of understanding the book clearly describes to an extent the system on which our world operates.
The higher animals dictates the order of the day. They manipulate and control the lower animals to suit their intent. They rule with deceptions, illusions, and fear. They formulate means to always ensure that the lower animals are always under control.
The lower animals are lower animals because of their low intellect and fear. And so they work very hard but most of the profits are enjoyed by the higher animals.
I like the that squealer guy. He reminds me of the Yoruba folks ( I am not a tribalist pls ).
Snowball and Napoleon's little fight reminds me of a lot of past events in world history where the future of the world was dependent on the whoever the victor was. The Nazis and NATO, Persian and Greek wars, Greek and Roman wars, even Biafran war and other older wars which shaped the present world.

None of the animals thought of rebelling against Napoleon's government. That would have been me. I could also be old major too.

But my most interesting character is Squealer. Had he been less greedy and less selfish, he was the only one smart enough to make a change that would see snowball back in government Napoleon being overthrown. The animals might have lived better lives and achieved more. That is why squealer reminds me of our Yoruba folks..
I really learnt a lot but this is all I can type for now
