That foul on that number 8 from which we scored the second goal, should it not have been a red card? Abi the last man rule no reach age grade football.

And how is the shove on Jubril inside the box not given as penalty and yet they gave the Ivorian a softer penalty IMO.

Shameful officiating

I hope as he grows every area of his game will develop as well. Over 50% of U17 players usually go into oblivion. I am hoping he will be among those that make it.

HT Stats: NGA up 2-1.

- Emmanuel Michael is the Truth. Simoiben academy and Simon Moses are getting set to cash out big time on this kid in his next deal and future deals. What a diamond. A capable defender (has gotten better and better since the first game), beautiful technique in his crossing, an overlapping God, fantastic workrate and recovery and in BascoVanVeli's voice, "The finest U21 FK taker on the planet!!!!" Yes! The hypes have began!!!cool grin

This kid is easily gonna be MVP of the whole damn Wafu B U17 Tournament mehn!

- Our midfield and defence responded well to going down. Some nervy moments from Mbata and Okere but they bounced back and regained control of the middle and Ogwor has not let CIV's danger man, Diomande out of his sight since that 2nd min blip.

- Okere still needs to assert himself more in the game. Probably missing his Yang in Ozor.

- Abdullahi #8 have come into the first XI and showed good drive and power upfront. Won the FK from which Michael sent NGA ahead.

A better second half to come..... already on.

Assist by RB, Yahaya Lawal. Beautiful long cross into the box from a FK and gbam!!! Abdullahi meets it with a superb header.

Naija cruising right now.

Red card for CIV. They had it coming. For foul on galloping Naija RB, Yahaya Lawal deep in the CIV defensive third.

One of the many things I love about Michael's left foot is his fearlessness to attempt freekicks from almost any distance outside the box. 30 yards, 25 yards, 35 yards, 40 yards... all nothing to him. He will go for them with his sweet left foot. What a diamond we have in Emmanuel Michael.

A Baller on the rise. MVP-elect.

Chisos!!! That passing sequence deserves a goal naaa!!!

About 10 passes delivered in that buildup from the back which ended at the feet of CF, Precious Williams who dinked it over the keeper. Oh what a move. These boys dey play ball abeggii. Ballers utd.

Mbata to Oyebanjo to Olaleke to Michael to Oyebanjo to Ogwor to Mbata back to Ogwor long pass to Lawali to Abdullahi to Precious Williams.... Dinks!!! Damn!!!

I don't think he was intimidated, I think he just likes total control and dominance. He did the same thing at the Dutch team he coached, he sent out the regular players he met and instead used newer and younger kids. I don't think he will make a good coach anywhere in my opinion. Yes he's brilliant and very intelligent but his emotions and ego do run riot.
I think he was intimidated, Mikel won champions league, two EPL, four FA Cup, Europa league, Afcon winner and the same Oliseh was unable to break into Juventus and Dortmund team but loaned out to Reginana and Bochum though he had good time with Ajax that cannot be compared with Kanu and Finidi Ajax..If Oliseh believe Ndidi is better then Muda Lawal is ahead of Oliseh when we talk of real DM.

Oliseh was an integral member of Dortmund sir before decline set in. Do you remember sir that he sent out Enyeama from the national team, Emenike withdrew cos of Sunny, he stopped inviting Balogun and Ekong too.

That Ivorian red card though... grin grin

You gave them red card still award free kick to them. If you are sending the guy off, isn't it logical that the freekick should be awarded to us. What a referee grin grin

And why do African ref prioritise time over the well-being of the players? Imagine a player falls and the next thing you do is to gesture for stretcher instead of the medics. E shock me walahi.

All in all, a nice match but we could have score more though. I'll be peeping at our bredas and the bars later today. grin

Bet how did the Addo guy get his own job with Dortmund? It's hard for black players already not to talk of black africans. Besides Tigana and Vieira, I haven't seen too many black coaches at the top tier. We can't be that dumb now.

That Addo guy was born in Germany though..

No doubt, blacks aren't being given enough opportunities at the top level of football administration..
Look at England...so many black players there, but very few black coaches and literally no black referee in the top division...
