Hello guys, I have heard about this platform but I have never registered not until lately. I was denied a student visa with issues pertaining to personal assets and financial status. Please I need guidance on how to address this as I want to start applying again. Secondly I have an HND in engineering but I want to apply for a Pgd in project management. Is the program a good fit? Thirdly is there anyone that can assist in reviewing my LOE? |

JDB55: No it is not the same and you are not applying for it separately The Work Permit (authorization to work) stated on your Study Permit to work as an international student is different from Co-op Work Permit See the link below for more details https://www.nairaland.com/6567181/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/230#103118245 Credits : Pinkey2021 For more information about CO-OP, go through the contents in the two links below https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/152#91745933 https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/306#93669406 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Did anyone get this type of feedback and eventually got their Form A transaction processed? My application has moved to the Supervisor phase but saw that the reviewer made the comment in the attached email. This is being processed with Globus Bank. I need help with addressing this urgently.

JDB55: No they are not the same. With the work permit that comes with study permit , you are only allowed to work 20hrs per week when school is in session or unlimited hours during holidays. But with the co op permit you can work unlimited hours if that job is part of your study program. You will be issued a co op work permit together with your study permit if when you applied for your study Visa you submitted a letter of acceptance showing that your program has a compulsory work placement as part of the curriculum to complete that program. But if you applied for a program that has an optional work placement and during the time of applying for the program you didnt select the option with a coop then you will be issued a study permit without co-op permit. If you decided later into the program that you still want to take part in the coop job placement while you are already in Canada, you can still apply for it separately and you would be issued as far as the program has an option for co-op. The advantage of a coop program is that apart from gaining practical experience in your program of study, you can work unlimited hours with your coop permit at your place of job placement and also work extra 20hrs per week at another job with the work permit included with your study permit . 6 Likes 2 Shares |

You can't have them be different because 1. you have a uci already you're in their system all it takes is a name search 2. in your forms you will be asked if you have applied and or been rejected before, in my opinion hiding this from them will be a big red flag in your new application, just repackage yourself well and address your refusal reasons properly. Hello everyone, it’s my first time on here so I hope I am on the right trend. I got admission for this fall 2022 and I have to pay the sum of 10,000 Canadian dollars as part of my school fees payment, but the thing is that I don’t know how to go about the payment, I have the funds but it’s the method of payment that is the problem. I want to use the normal dollar bank rate but the bank is telling me for that process they can do only form A which would take a lot of time and my deadline is 30th of June. My school is George brown college and they use the CIBC bank. Please if anyone knows how to make payment please let me know and sorry if someone has asked this question before because I don’t know how to use nairaland yet. Thank you as I wait your helpful response. |

Shegzymilan: Assets and Financial Status Insufficiency means you do not have sufficient financial resources to successfully complete your study in Canada. You may order for your GCMS notes to enable you pinpoint the exact reason for this. You need to work on your POF. 1 Like |

Misstolaly: The bank is actually telling you in plain English that even if you wait, there is no FX available. They can't disburse what they don't have. Rush down to less known banks like Jaiz, TAJ, Heritage or Providus bank to open a savings account immediately and have a new form A filled |
