Piepiehoney:Used them last month, though their website says they don’t require fit to fly, their personnel at the counter demanded for it (maybe because I was quite heavy). It has to be the fit to fly gotten from the port health which is a pretty must straight forward process. |

Myfavour22: Thank you for your response. Did you get the fit to fly from port health same day you travelled and how much is it? 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello everyone I had my visa interview on the 26th of April 2022 after several attempts to get an appointment I was asked the routine questions (purpose of travel, which I replied with for vacation, what do I do, I replied with I work as a medical doctor at a federal hospital) At the end of the interview I was placed on administrative processing and I was sent supplemental questions to answer. I’ve been To the United States twice in the past And I’ve been to several countries (UK, UAE, Malaysia, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Turkey, e.t.c) I wasn’t asked to show any document even though I went prepared Now it has been approximately 2 months since I submitted the answers to the supplemental questions and I’ve not heard anything from the embassy. Please has anyone gone through something like this before ? Because I heard you’re placed under administrative processing if your name has been flagged. I believe there’s no reason for my name to be flagged. And I’ve also heard the processing can take months |

Summerbutterfly:This happened to me in 2018 when i applied through Dropbox and my application was placed on administrative processing for about 3 months and i was eventually invited to appear at the embassy for a physical interview. I don't know about the name being flagged, but I'm certain that they might have some questions 2 Likes |

Myfavour22:Thank you. 2k is very cheap compared to 30k my hospital is asking me to pay for fit to fly. 1 Like |

Piepiehoney:I doubt they will accept any fit to fly that’s not from the port health so it’s better you just do it at the airport. 30k ke? My hospital even gave me one free of charge. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Candybright: 10:06pm On Jun 23, 2022 |
Piepiehoney:30k for a paper report? Are they running fresh genaral test on you before the letter? Letter they won't even accept at the airport haaaa |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Piepiehoney: 7:34pm On Jun 25, 2022 |
Candybright:Don't mind them. I went for antenatal today, while explaining a few things to the Doctor, I mentioned I will be getting fit to fly from Port health, he raised his voice on how it's illegal for anyone to give me fit to fly, that he is the only one who knows my medical history bla bla blah. He has been waiting patiently for 30k. He collected 30k for the medical report he wrote when I applied for emergency application, the hospital's receptionist told me that's the amount they collect from patient for such purpose. Port health has helped me save 28k lol |

Hello everyone, Please what was the content of the letter your Dr wrote for you that you took to the embassy for interview after you got an emergency date? I was told by someone to make sure my Dr includes a complication in the letter. Thanks |

Piepiehoney:please what was the content of the letter you took to the embassy? Did your Dr have to include a complication? Thanks |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Piepiehoney: 7:38pm On Jul 02, 2022 |
Jummiejei:In all sincerity, my Doctor's report was based on my medical history. He didn't need to add anything that's not. He refused to write that he is referring me abroad but rather stated that I am requesting to get better medical care in the US. Naija doctors are strict o forget story, they protect their integrity. I have used the hospital for over 10 years, had a surgery there and had an elective surgery in the US when I had my first child. The Dr. told me plain that if he writes that he is referring me abroad because of my medical condition, it shows that he is incompetent. So, the content of my letter was based on my medical history. 4 Likes |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by AfonjaBoston: 2:26pm On Jul 03, 2022 |
phyla: You need a Dr for what exactly? Does you wife have a high risk pregnancy that only a dr in USA can take care of? What is your Dr in nigeria saying? Hmmm a good dr will sign off on any letter you write ? ?? Hmmmm people should start using their headd |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by phyla(m): 3:16pm On Jul 03, 2022 |
@AfonjaBoston everyone knows that people seeking emergency date are mostly likely the ones with pregnancy complications or risks. My doctor in Nigeria has written and if you had read what I wrote well, you would have seen that I was shocked to read what the doctor abroad has said about signing off, it is very obvious I don't feel comfortable with it hence why I came here to seek help. I also feel you should be mindful of how you respond to people here, we have people who have have had up to 1-10 miscarriages and have genuine reasons for seeking medical care abroad.......today alone, your responses to people on this page isn't encouraging and I'm referring to your earlier comment to the lady who had giving birth twice in the US. People are going through alot and have gone through alot about child birth and the only thing you should be able to offer is encouraging words or don't respond if you don't have any. Truly, people should start using their head AfonjaBoston: 3 Likes |

phyla: All these emotional blah blah blah means nothing to me. The truth always hurts folks who love fantasies. Glad you know what I stand for. You looking for a dr to write you some paper to take to the consulate for emergency appt processing is just weird to me. There are proper channels to seek a dr referral if indeed it's a medical condition starting with your Dr in Nigeria unless off course he or she has either refused because your condition is not that serious or the patient is the one triggering the rec or just for citizenship reasons which is not even illegal but for some pretenders to come under the cloak of medical emergency when we know na pali for pikin them dey look fo. Now that's the boo boo i am not gonna entertain 2 Likes |

Another innocent question Say an expectant mum applies for an emergency appt to the US, with the basis being medical emergency of course lol and gets denied what will she do? |
