* Product volume worth N333bn * Lagos, Kano, Niger top consumption * Doubts trail figures As the struggle to get Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) otherwise called petrol mounts, it has been estimated that Nigerians guzzled 2,020,248,000 litres of the product and spent at least N333.34 billion at official retail pump price on it in one month. Observers have, however, queried the figures. https://dailytrust.com/exclusive-nigerians-consume-2bn-litres-of-petrol-in-28-days lalasticlala 3 Likes 2 Shares

Build metro rail systems and develop mass bus transport schemes in Lagos, Kano and Niger states to minimise the number of cars on the roads and cut down on their consumption. 3 Likes |

Those eating from fuel subsidy keep inflating the figure. Imagine when professionals claim Nigeria don't consume more than 35millon litres a day and govt is quoting billions. The subsidy of about 200naira per Litre paid for the excess goes into the pockets of selected few Nigerians. Now do the math and note that this is just what they get on daily basis. This is why those high ranking guys will always frustrate and sabotage construction of refineries because with that, no more subsidy. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Should be far less. But respective govts have refused to fix power and the refineries as they are both cash cows. Even with privatisation... Your president will always be a dummy, a figure head. Certain things cannot be allowed to change as there are more superior powers milking the system as it is. Why do you think we print naira notes outside the country? Is the technology too advanced for the cbn? Why do you think our passports, a national document, is printed outside the country? They will come into power...give you peanuts like the useless trader money, take pictures for the internet and other rubbish and you'd be fooled to think they are working... 2 Likes |
