Certain people

Government should discourage us from unnecessary use of fossil, if I can access train, public transit and constant electricity so why should I queue for fuel? That should be the duty of a driver

This day is committed to bringing issues to light about the illness, with different occasions and exercises occurring. This occasion covers a wide range of social events, including commemoration administrations, global holidays craftsmanship shows, and talks. Likewise, December 1 is seen as World AIDS Day to respect the people who have died because of the illness and to show support for those at present confronting it. Today, we can all have an effect in the battle against AIDS.

This is a grand lie; the government agency that is responsible for collating this data is PPPR but apparently they have been compromised and do not even have the accurate data to tell this story.

My company has a technology- IoT that could be deployed to track fuel importation and distribution across the nation but if you contact them they would not give you attention because they are profiting from this fraudulent system.

DPR workers who are posted to Apapa to collect this data collude with oil importers and business men to issue fake certificates to certify the quantity of products imported and take records on sheets of papers which could easily be tampered or misplaced. They collect brown envelops stacked with dollars as kickbacks for these fictitious certificates they issued to business men.

I worked in downstream for some years so I know what I am saying.

The main reason why the figures are so high is SMUGGLING.

A lot of petrol is being smuggled across the border to other countries...even as far afield as Ghana and Mali. Erastz Nigerian fuel is a hotcake. Costs less than the fuel ye buy at official prices in the stations.

Exactly.

The problem is, fuel subsidy is probably where the corrupt elite and the majority poor agree...the poor get cheap fuel, the elite get free government money without trying too hard.

Which happens because the importers and businessmen are collecting free subsidy money.

Allow the subsidy to go, and all that won't happen. The fraud will end.

Well, according to a recent report from Germany, the number of generators in Nigeria can power the national grid or simply put, the generators in this country is more than enough to generate electricity.

They should also let us know how many litres of petrol get smuggled out through our northern borders into countries like Niger, chad, Cameroon even up to Mali

It is part of the sums you see up there.

Smuggling would stop if the government ended subsidy and allowed marketers to raise prices to the level they should be , but since it is not popular...
