ednut1:Me I'll never comprehend how people move to Canada and hope to never get in contact with LGBT. Better to stay in Nigeria. If you think your kid will stop being gay if they are already gay based on their biological makeup, you are on the longest thing the world has ever seen. 5 Likes |

CountVersailles: Economics and functional society - the major reasons most fled Nigeria - are different from morality. It is very fine that they ensure their kids aren't brainwashed into LGTV issues. No one wants his/her child to become a drag queen because the parent wanted to reside in a place where things work. 16 Likes |

Gerrard59:Then don't leave Nigeria. It's that simple. If you think your kids will never be exposed, you are just pouring water into an empty basket. They develop the accent, they make friends, they watch TV, they go out into the society, and for some reason you just magically expect that they'll be insulated from LGTB issues? Dream on, oga. 6 Likes |

CountVersailles: No one says they would be insulated but they won't have drag queens entertain them or be indoctrinated that it's a normal thing to do. P.S. At the bold, you cannot dictate to people what to do to better their lives. If normal people cannot dictate to LGTV folks what to do with their lives, you don't have such right to tell other people what to do with theirs. Conservative Nigerians - the average Nigerian is conservative - will send their kids to Catholic-run schools and there is nothing wrong with it, neither is there anything you can do about it. 27 Likes |

Please guys, Anyone in Royal Roads University, University of Victoria or Camosun College. Or living in Victoria, Saanich, BC or its environs. I need an accommodation within Victoria, Saanich, Saanichton, View Royal, Colwood, or Langford starting from August/September for a long time rent! I'm going to University of Victoria. If anyone is also studying or going to any of the school mentioned, you can reach out to me so that we can get a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment to share. I think it's easier and cheaper to get a shared apartment/condo than single bedroom. Please kindly quote me or send an email attached to my account. Getting accommodation in Victoria is really a tug of war, and it's better to start now! |

Everygirl: If you have anyone in Northwest Calgary, I'll very much appreciate that. I'm coming in by August and need a place for about a week before renting. Thank you. Please do you have an idea of rent around Northwest for a one-room, I'll be attending UofC and Northwest is the closest |

Hello everyone, I'll be needing any assistance or direction on how to get a one bedroom accommodation in Northwest Calgary. My budget is between 500-600 CAD. I would also like to know how I can pay for Airbnb from Nigeria since it's quoted in CAD/USD and our cards cannot make such payment. Thanks in anticipation |

Hello everyone, I am a female in need of a room in or close proximity to Scarborough. Anything around $500-$600 is fine. Will be arriving first week of July. I will appreciate any leads |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by Immortalregis: 2:57am On Jun 26, 2022 |
Omoba95:Try Kijiji.ca. At that price range, it'll be shared accommodation so as long as you're willing to share a bathroom and kitchen, it should be fine. People that post adds looking for a female roommates always seem to set rent around that price point. |

Jayzara: Catholic school is not only for Catholic adherents, non catholic also enrol their children there as well. The only difference is that Catholic adherents are given the first choice service and non-catholic given the remaining spots after practising Catholics. Don't fret, without a baptismal card, you can still get your children enrolled in Catholic school. ' 1 Like |

You guys are doing a stupendous job here. Bravo to everyone that contributes generously. I happen to know Ednut1 in real life but I'm sure he doesn't know My Sister who is in Nigeria, contacted me yesterday that she got an Agent's contact. The Agent would help her get a Slot for a 2-year work visa(A particular company in Canada) directly from Nigeria. I told her that I understand that the Canadian Government issues licenses to some companies and that makes it possible for such companies to sponsor foreigners to work in Canny. I explained to her that I don't feel good about such arrangements because: 1. What is the meaning of slots? Slots sounds like a shady arrnagemnet just like we hear people say they've got slots in Nigeria. 2. You are not a specialist ( Health Sector, Tech Guru etc) and your occupation is not on the the list of shortage occupation. What then is special about you that will make a company sponsor you for such work visa? 3. I feel the Canadian companies that allow such arrangements might be struggling companies that charge a fee for such service. 4. I feel the working conditions in such companies might not be good and such employers might maltreat you because they brought you in some sort of way. These are just my thoughts. I assured my sister that I will do an extensive research and get back to her in 3 days. Kindly tell me everything and anything you know about such schemes. Thank you cc: Ednut1 Influential101 seunpinky cochtrane 2 Likes |

Funky123:The Agent is offering UK, Canada and US. I've forgotten the amount for UK. Canada is N3.5m for a family of 3 ( Husband, Wife and one child). The Agent said it will take about 10 months. Single Applicant is N2.5m For US, the package is N5m and would be ready in 3 weeks. I just decided to ask on each thread because immigration rules differ from one country to the other. In addition, I did not really get a satisfactory response on that UK thread. Only one person responded and he only responded with a link to a news story that revealed that some agencies are bringing people into the UK and charging them fees. I decided to ask here, in case guys here will give more insightful information. I want to discourage someone from doing something, don't you think I should give the person more than convincing reasons? |
