At a time when the Nigerian league began to show gleams of hope, the LMC by their passivity have again messed things up.

Just a few days ago it was reported here the abhorrent behaviour of the Kano United chairman, the LMC however decided to give all 3 points to Kano with a ridiculous financial fine as penalty.

Guess what, something way ridiculous happened today in the game between Remo Stars and Kastina United. Remo Stars equalised to make the game 2-2 in the 90th minute. The Kastina United officials initially disrupted the game stopping play and ending the livestream. Play however continued minutes later.

The game later ended 3-2 in favour of Kastina United. The referee didn't end the game until the got their winning goal at the 34th minute of additional time. Yes, you read that right, 34th minute of additional time.

How do you grow a league of referees are afraid for their lives when officiating? Just sad.

This is one of the many reasons people shy away from the league... The whole thing is a sham...

I'm sorry in advance if this sounds offensive but is it a coincidence that a particular region is at the heart of all these controversies or everything is being played.

K, oya prove us wrong for once by giving us a single name of a club a Nigerian origin player will be moving to in the UK this summer. grin

Appreciate, brother, but comparison only breeds animosity.

Every one on this thread brings something to the table. No need to quantify.

Don't know about Simon and Bassey, sir, but Everton are not signing Dennis.
Regarding this.
Everton want Dennis.
Dennis desperate to remain in PL.

But Everton don't have money. Watford don't like the way Everton want to structure the deal.

West Ham monitoring but not eager.

1991. Next was 1995. Was in the form of a Qualifiers tournament but it was knockout format with 2 legs from Prelims/first round to a final round. Featured 8 teams.

1998 was the first edition in its current group stage format of 8 teams before expansion to 12 teams for the upcoming 2022 edition.

ok , thanks very much

I honestly would have preferred Westham for Dennis as in my opinion Moyes is a kind of coach that would help Dennis. I don't trust Lamps, sometimes he helps some guys but when he makes it his mind, it's all over for any player, case in point, Tomori, Rudiger, Tammy

Oh! They're in grades.

However it is, it'd be great if he's able to show his talent on the global stage, he deserves it.

Steve Cooper got a job in his country which is normal. Amunike will definitely secure a job in his country too if he so wishes. Why the pity?
TheGoodJoe:
Life. Steve Cooper who won the U17 World Cup after Emmanuel Amunike won it in 2015 is coaching Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, while Amunike is still waiting for a good opportunity.

I hope Amunike gets a chance soon.

Life must have a balance soon.

I guess to you, coaching in Nigeria is equivalent to coaching in the English Premier League.

On this one sir, you are absolutely correct. We can't blame England for putting their own house in order while ours never pass foundation level. The EPL should naturally favor englishmen first and Europeans second

My heart feels like he should say in Almeria but then Ajax will be playing in the UCL. However, with a new coach coming to Ajax, I am not sure they would have the same level of success they have had in recent seasons.
