VISA ALERT! (For my wife)

First Application- March 20th, 2022 (Denied)
Reason-We were very arrogant about the application thinking just showing them a bank statement with millions of naira was enough. my wife stated she was the sponsor of the trip and presented a bank statement of about 8m without any explanation (Most of the payments were from me grin). She also didn't present the account her salary was paid into. So VO stated that the reason for denial was my wife making 360k doesn't correlate with over 8m found in her account.

Second Application- April 30th (Approved)
Biometrics- May 5
"Ipadabo Abija"
This one was very water tight with documentation and evidence.
This time she presented me as the sponsor
presented her salary account-2m, our joint Nigerian account-3m, her other Nigerian account-11m and My US bank account.
she drew up an excel spreadsheet explaining every inflow and outflow over 100k.
she attached my US Passport, My Sons US Passport, My letter of employment and my payslip.
she attached letter of introduction from her employee, payslip, promotion letter, wedding pictures, marriage certificate, Hotel reservation.
I wrote a cover letter stating i will be sponsoring the trip and she will be going with my son who is a US citizen and doesn't need a visa, I also stated i will join them there from the US.
She wrote a cover letter apologizing for the oversight in the last application and agreed that she should have broken down how she got 8m in her account. she then went on to state the source of money (From me, side business and allowance from work).

In all I believe too much information is never a disadvantage and the more information you provide the easier your chances will be.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Please start with the DNA test. You have a long journey ahead...

You'll need a lot of documents from your Mum - to prove the relationship. The DNA test is just one of the many things you need to do.

It might be useful for your to go to gov.uk and read up about the process. When you start and have more questions, please let us know. Good luck!

Thank you for this

Congrats, loved this feedback. If you explain things and try and keep your application clean as much as possible then they would not have ground to deny some people, as long as the application isn’t confusing to these ECO.

My passport has 3 spaces between my two middle name and it has stopped me from capturing even after changing my NIN to suit it. Please, has anyone has similar issues recently? If yes, how did you go about it?

I think this visa thing is luck now, was denied in Nov, was very confident because of my statement and balance, and honestly don't really have any plan to stay in the Uk but was refused, these Eco s they don't know what they are doing, the guy beside me at tls ikeja that he's going to Uk for visit visa and he's not coming funny enough he was given the visa. People with good intentions are denied while those that want to Japa are given visa.
The Eco s are really incompetent. An thinking of applying again, still contemplating of applying or may be forget it.

What is life like for him over there now? Do you still keep in touch with him.

I ask coz I want to really know how they cope over there knowing fully well they have over stayed.

Good evening everyone.... Please can some one help me with the COVID protocol for Qatar...atleast any recent traveller through this airline it's urgent please...

1. For those who have not been vaccinated.. what will they require from them as Nigerians since UK has lifted all COVID requirements for..

2. Can one quickly take the vaccination??.. that is if it required and how long does it take.. to get the certificate..

3. Or is PCR negative test a better option...

Thanks thanks
