Everybody on the Nigerian road is mad except you - Defensive driving 101

Please visit a health facility to ascertain that your organs did not suffer any injury from the impact.
Thanks
I already did.

Even the doctors still can’t believe how i came out unscathed

Rear lights or parking light is a must for all vehicles and additional caution required for a vehicle parked on a speed lane at night. Hundreds if not thousands have died on Nigerian roads due to the carelessness of motorists about parking light and the lack of enforcement of this necessary light on vehicles.
Very correct.

Exactly my thoughts too

Police Jankara judgment was that a truck is allowed to park on the speed lane of a highway without reflective Caution signals placed at least 150 meters from the point the truck was parked, or no hazard lights of the truck on. Tufiakwa.

Thank u very much.

I admit i have my own faults o

Buh the truck driver nko.

Even when he tried running away and was caught by vigilante, the caution sign he produced couldn’t even reflect from 1 meter sef

Good day all.

I want to share with you all what the Lord did for me yesterday o.

While at PHC on a business trip from calabar.
I arrived phc on sunday and decided to sit out with friends on Wednesday night. After dropping my friends at their house and heading to my hotel room with the aid of the google map, a truck was parked on the speedlane at attilary road at phc at about 2am without having backlights or even putting c-caution.

While trying to look at my phone to check where i was heading to and moving at about 100km/hr, as soon as i lifted my head up, a truck was parked at the speedlane with NO backlights and caution sign placed on the road.

And that was how i rammed into the truck. But to the glory of God, i came out unscathed. No injury sustained at all.

The police said i was wrong to have rammed into the truck from behind regardless of where it was parked or even if it was stationary. They said i ought to have been more careful.
Buh i thank God, i am alive, my car got destroyed, but I sustained no injury which is most important.
The police where right. Reduce your speed drastically when checking directions on your phone.

Let's imagine the truck wasn't there, what do you think you would have ramp into?

The shops around there or a ditch

Rather than looking to point blame.

Thank Your God that you survived

If the truck wasn’t dia, I wouldn’t have hit anything cos it was a straight road. Highway

Yh i know.

Buh u know it could have been avoid also if the truck wasn’t parked on the speedlane without having rear lights or if the driver had placed a caution sign

I understand i have my own faults. I got distracted by the google map on my phone.

But was the truck meant to park on the speedlane. And even if it developed a fault, he ought to have used his caution sign and double pointer, atleast that could have alerted me earlier to what was infront of me.

You are blaming the devil for parking on the speedlane. Do you know whether the devil whispered to the driver that he is looking for someone to balance his account.

And some low class atheists will still believe that there is a reason they have to tie the survivor for his survival with without knowing that it can only be God. I pity those shallow thinking atheists.

I always shake my head at those forming expert driver for this country.
Even when you're going jeje, anything can still happen, let alone doing 100km/hr with the aid of Google map on a road you don't know.

Na only Nigerians fit do such wonderful things...

As someone rightly said up there: He who can successfully stop the car is the good driver, not he who can speed up the car.

And why am I unable to upload a picture here

Omo they are obviously selling ‘prepaid likes’ to sway public opinion. I noticed this on more than one thread where a particular guy amassed unusual numbers of likes despite making ordinary comments.

I won’t mention his moniker sha. What shocked me was that his comment was not even number ten. What he said wasn’t special. But the likes he got were surprising o. Na so we see am o.

Thank God for your life bro. Really happy for you. But it was wrong doing 100km/h and checking your phone for google map. That excuse would have cost your life. U could have done a lesser speed since u weren’t sure of ur destination so that u can be checking ur phone for direction. If ur speed was mild, the impact won’t have been that much if at all or maybe u would have seen the packed truck earlier.
We give God all the glory. U have learnt and I pray u get a better car also.

Do you agree with the police or not?

One thing we must learn about auto accident is that weather you are innocent or felt guilty, once you are involved in an accident as a driver...you will automatically have parts of the blame if not all.
