Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has said that it will support the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi as the most competent and credible contestant to become the next Nigerian president come 2023.

The acting youth leader, OYC, Onwuasoanya FCC Jones said this in an exclusive interview with Vanguard on Monday. The group also revealed that its support for Obi is based on his credibility and competence, and not because he is from the South East.He, however, said that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state claims to be Igbo because it is politically convenient for him at this moment, asking whether he has associated himself with Ohanaeze since he became the governorGovernor Babagana Zulum of Borno on Monday swore in 19 new Commissioners. The swearing-in comes two months after Mr Zulum dissolved the State Executive Council ahead of the All Progressives Congress primaries.

The chief judge of Borno, Kashim Zanna, administered the oath of office to the commissioners through the representation of a High Court judge, Fadawu Umaru.

The event also witnessed the swearing-in of a new permanent secretary, Abu Abadam, a senior director at the ministry of water resources.

The governor urged the new officials to exhibit exemplary leadership and diligence in the running of government affairs. Mr Zulum said all commissioners should form working relationships with their permanent secretaries.
