If you think objectively about other ancient people's religions (e.g. the Greeks, Romans, Yorubas, Aztecs), you'll come to the conclusion that they are not that different from modern religions:

- supreme being, deities and intermediaries (good and bad), who are all somehow interested in humans
- these beings also display human emotions like anger, pleasure, jealousy, ambition, etc.
- elaborate stories that teach, warn, praise, and basically keep their adherants entranced
- apparently they even make mistakes and flood or burn the whole place down to restart
- upon death, humans will transcend into that spiritual plane

Sounds like human invention to me. Just different ways of humans trying to explain their role in a vast Universe.

Everybody was actually born atheist. We grow up to learn about religion. We were only indoctrinated while growing up.


Growing up, I thought I was going to become a pastor. so I started reading (I've completed the bible more that thrice) and memorize the bible very early. It was the bible itself that makes me to ask a lot of questions that led to my factory re-set. The God of the bible seem unrighteous to me, thinks and act like human.


There is nothing like a God-being in our factory re-set, there is no heaven, there is no hell. We only learn those things while growing up.

That is why almost every body believes the that God of their individual parents is the only God and that his religion is the only accepted religion.

I read about 'historical Jesus' too. And discover that all of our cherished stories are fabricated and not true.

It will surprise you to know that:

-- there is no real historical Jesus in the world true human history. Many fabricated stories....
-- there is no heaven
-- there is no hell
-- prayer doesn't get answered
-- there is no spirit
-- there is no Angel
-- there is no Satan
-- there is no life after death or after life
-- charms don't work
-- there is no karma
-- there are no witches and wizard


I believe religion makes people to be more evil than good. Many are kept under the fear of heaven and hell to do the little good they can. They are not allowed to experience the true beauty of being good, honest, diligent and being a person of integrity without the fear of hell destruction, or expectation of an heavenly reward or karma.

My de-conversion story is a pretty long one. But to sum it all up, I became very inquisitive, and started to ask a lot of questions.

Those questions led to more questions, and eventually, after taking my time to learn more about religion, and about the universe, and actually taking an objective look at things, I realized there was not a lot of credible evidence for the beliefs which I previously held.

Madmen have been known to call Jollof rice and chicken junk food, that is why they are mad in the first place.

One thing I've learnt about atheists is that they have herd mentality. There are only very few atheists but you see the rest are either followers, angry people, and those who don't like extra activities.

However, the majority even from the comments are ex-christians. The common excuse is they are not convinced about the existence of God. So, many of them will simply tell you that's why they became atheist. What they won't tell you is the disappointment they have felt.

Many have had experiences where they thought or expected God to do something but they got nothing. In anger, they left the religion because they saw no point to it. While another group fall in the category of those forced to go to church as kids on Sunday. They'd rather be at home watching a movie or with their PS4. Growing up gave them the opportunity to stay back at home.

They got used to it and so Sundays became like every other day and they forgot about church. Since they don't bother well it's as good as there's no point of religion. Then the last group which constitute the majority is school. Well that's where most people don't go to church, I never did in school. But you see when someone says there's no God, the other person well thinks it's cool and they sort of become atheists by association. So they hang around and argue the whole idea why Christians are nuts. It's a fun conversation, they flow with it and then bam, they are now confirmed atheists.

So that's about it.

No one is begging anyone to believe in God, however I believe there is God, after watching and listening to all the explanations of the big bang theory I reconfirmed there is God.

I am not an atheist , I am a theist but I don't practice any organized religion. I simply live my life just believing there's an intelligent being who put all the things we see and call the universe together. I don't care about the being at all and I don't believe the being whether it is a he or a she has a son or messenger or anything of that sort. I just live. I am not scared of death at all, I know it's a necessary end for all living things. I love life but I don't like it so much for me to desire a second or an "everlasting life" after death. What will I do with it? If there's life after death, I don't need it. I do good not because i want reward from the being or because I am scared of being punished by the being for not doing good, I do good because it feels good to be good. I don't have words like "Sin" or "Fornication" etc in my dictionary, I eat and do only what the law permits. I don't live my life according to the dictates of any silly religious scriptures. I just live.
